My UK buddy is telling me Everton are taking calls for Howard. I'm calling BS but has anyone here heard anything along those lines. I really don't want this to be true.
I doubt it, Everton are looking to strengthen up, I recently heard thanks to Roberto who is a Catalan they are going to sign an exclusive cooperation agreement with Barcelona in which Everton and Barcelona will allow access between both teams youth players for easy loan and development assistance and coaching infrastructure. My UK buddy is telling me Everton are taking calls for Howard. There's a LOT of BS flying around at this time of year, anyone who had a decent World Cup will be linked with a move particularly if they're currently at a smaller team like Everton.
Until there's a picture of Howard shaking hands with the manager of another team and doing the usual cheesy poses with a club scarf or shirt then it's best not to believe any of it.

Adama Traore of Barca seems to be set to go on loan to Everton too.
I can see it. I'm sure his price went way up after the WC. Not sure what team he would start for that are above Everton though.
Agreed.
Thats very good news for Everton, we'll never have top talent but if we can use a young kid developing to finish top 4 in the EPL I'll take it.
Everton finished behind city, pool,Chelsea and spurs. I think Howard is a upgrade for a couple of them not to mention united. That said I don't want him to leave the Everton till he retires.

Oh really!
Give me the goss, is one Bender? I know it looks like we have Debuchy aswell but that's all I know of.
Khadira is another target according to reports.
Apparently Wenger is in for 5 players. One would be Sanchez (bought) & another would be Debuchy (close)
So Bender, Khadira & Remy could be the other 3 if reports are right?
He won't go to united. They aren't in Europe this year and prob not next year either. Maybe spurs.
To be fair to Howard, he drastically improved after his time at United. I do agree though, De Gea looked very ropey but he really is becoming a very good keeper. I was impressed by him last season. Im not sure who your player of the season was last season and I know it was a bad one but I wouldn't at all be surprised if it was him.Tim Howard was rubbish during his 2 seasons at United and was replaced with Edwin van der Sar.
He had his chance and failed.
David de Gea is 12 years younger than Howard and after a shaky start is becoming a top class keeper, he kept United from finishing a lot lower than they finally did last season.

Sanchez is looking a bargain at between 30-32mil when you think Liverpool payed 25mil on Lallana
The Sanchez move wasn't a true deal. Barca needed the cash to add to the Fabregas money to be able to afford Suarez. Arsenal played this just right. They gave Barca just the right amount and ended up with a great player whilst weakening a rival.
Being an Arsenal supporter I've seen loads of our top players getting sold over the years but 9 times out of 10 someone always comes in & steps up.
The irony being that if Arsenal & Liverpool had both kept hold of all their top players over the past decade we would both be the top two teams in the League every year.
