Question for you guys who have put on a custom cape. I have the velvet fabric cut and ready to go on mine, but it's a LOT heavier than the stock cape and when it drapes down it just pulls the magnets right off. Did you just stuff it into the suit and then put the cowl back on over it or is there some trick to getting the magnets to work?

I made a cape and did it like the Keaton Batman cape so it hangs from the neck post then you put the head on. Then I put the cape clips on so it gives the appearance of them being attached to the cape.

Tempted to do this but can you still have the cape over the cowl if you do?

The way Tony did it is he used a stretchy thingie to attach the capes and like J&B said, only use the cape clips to make it look like its the one that's holding the capes.

found a store with fabrics in my town and found a velvet one which is deep black and isn't too shiny. couldn't resist and made an extra long cape for myself :)

Simply beautiful, Arian.

Looks great, Fernando, the material is perfect. It does look to be rather on the short side, though. Is that just because of your futzing, or is it actually that short? I am still contemplating on getting the wired version, but that length would be a no go for me.

thank you very much Yannick.
Its just my futzing, the cape is long.
Its kinda hard to see from this angle cause the cape is very dark but on this angle, the cape is past the EB base and touching the floor. I think I may even have it folded a bit on the back cause of the length.
Its definitely not short.

Tony's pics

Those wired capes are tempting, I bet they look amazing 'blowing in the wind' at this scale...

Thanks for the info. :) Did you try posing the cape like it's blowing in the wind before settling for this pose? Or even if not, do the wires generally feel strong enough to maintain such a pose over time?

yes it is, lots of option in posing.

You're welcome bud.
Yes, I was initially posing it in more dynamic, more dramatic effect.
its just that in both 1/6 OC bats and this EB batman, I usually have the cape mainly cover up batman.
I eventually settled on this look cause I kinda like how it really shows off more of the figure.
The wires feel very stable.

Thanks! :)

Yours looks great too. That Scarecrow mask is a nice addition.

Great pictures mate but where did you find this scarecrow mask ?

I put the Hot Toys one (which came from the 1/4 Batman) on the base.
THANX GUYZ!:hi5:I'm still undecided on his final pose before my HT Bats gets here!:dunno Yeah Kbx,I like how you used the HT Scarecrow sculpt!I used the Mattel Movie Masters Mask as the base and customized it to add more detail to it.

Your shots are beautiful. What mods have done to the figure?

Spot on.

I took my QS HT Bat off the shelf and put this back... and I sighed with relief. Goodbye HT.
Mags, between your PICS and Karnis review are the reasons why I bought this figure!Originally,I had planned on just picking up the Joker only but with PICS of your Bats with those mods,I couldn't resist!THANX!
Remy, like I've said before that figure with that diorama equals TOTAL GREATNESS!It truly compliments the figure!I'm hoping of trying to get one done as well for next year,if all goes well!:pray:Eventhough I have the figure,I never get tired of lookin at all of these AWESOME PICS!Makes me grateful that I picked this one up when I had the chance!NO REGRETS!

What did Tony do for the clasps?

Another method is to have the cape under the cowl. Fold it back the way you like it...then position the magnets/ cape clips where you want them. At that point they are basically for show only.

Thanks for the compliment man, and I really hope you're able to get the diorama sometime.
It really makes an outstanding compliment to the figure.
Its great you got this figure, EB bats in my opinion is one of the best batman collectible around.

Your opinion on the 89 Keaton?
Thanks

Those pics with the wired cape look amazing! I just paid Tony for a wired cape this morning as I had my eye on it for quite a while. These pictures thankfully make me think that I made the wise choice over the battle cape. I loved the the look of the cape and how it flowed in Batman Begins. It was comicbook-like in how exaggerated its movements were, like it had a life of its own. So I'm pretty excited to fiddle with it when it comes in!

Oh, Keaton bats is also amazing.
Definitely one of hot toys best.
I used to have it.
It's just that at one point, I have I think 4 batman figure and was even in the process of making a comic book batman, so I decided to just stick to Nolan batman.
89 batman is a great figure though.
My all time favorite batman suit is batman begins,
My 2nd favorite is batman returns.
That was the other reason why I sold it.
I was originally gonna wait since ht said they would do returns,
But after seeing all the cool 89 batman pics, I got weak and caved in. Lol.

Grats man, you will love it.
As I mentioned earlier, it was a little challenging futzing the cape.
But bottom line, it's an amazing cape by Tony.
You will love it.

One word : PERFECT ! Congratz mate.

thanks a lot my friend!

Awesome!

Your cowl appear to be more mate than mine. It looks even better.

This figure is amazing. I have it right here next to me and I keep looking at pictures with that "wow" effect.

i think it's just the light, and even that, my three sculpts have also a different finish. one is more matter then the other etc. so i guess there are also some differences between the figures, but hopefully not that much.

It's perfect!!

Thank you so much! :)
