EB have a lot to live up to now. Kudos to Hot Toys they've raised the bar several notches and hot every note perfectly. I'll buy this too based on the quality of their other 1/4 offerings. I have high hopes.
I just can't have enough Robocop.

I have confidence EB will knock this one outta the park..if only it came with a removable helmet and Weller sculpt!

Hopefully with HT's reveals, this one will be any day now...

It's stated for September and giving their recent delays. I'm guessing we won't see any official pics until late September of possible October.

I really hope Enterbay is not feeling anxious about Hot Toys buzz. EB doesnt have a great track record when it comes to quality control and common sense so it's really important for them to not rush things and test everything to make sure there's no hick ups on a release that's more complicated than a 1:6 die cast figure.

They were due to release images of their Kamen Rider awhile ago, that seems to be pushed back now. Maybe because of the Q.C problems with MJ. You never know. But competition with Hot toys could mean we see some better pics soon. Hope so.

EB released the full specs and proto pics of their BD T800 a month after DX13's reveal. A week earlier than DX13, though, Bill revealed the outstanding HS of their BD T800. It might have been pure coincidence unless they had a mole who told them of HT's upcoming reveal, but the fact that we still haven't seen any new updates on EB RoboCop til now might mean that it would be delayed, or that Bill saw how awesome the new HT Robo is and back to the drawing boards they went for some revisions.

Prices might be at an all-time high now, but looking at the bright side this competition -- EB and HT trying to one-up each other --is bringing us the best representations of our childhood icons be it in 1/6 or 1/4 lately. Really exciting. But bad for the wallet LOL

^^^ He made no reference to HT and was simply saying EB will make a superb figure...
Robo in 1/4 and 1/6 is ok in my books :D

Oops... :lol

Even tho I'm not a fan of Enterbay and 1/4... simply glad for all of us Robo-fans :peace

Conversation that has never happened at Enterbay:

Bill: "Hold development on everything! We've got to ensure higher quality with a release people have already paid for!"

They'll be releasing 1/4 Robocop but they'll will never release 1/4 ED-209. 1/6 scale FTW.

Personally,i'd take The EB Robocop over HT's hand down!Yeah,HT's looks GREAT but i'm confident enough to know that EB's will be far from inferior so i guess it comes down to preference.I did notice that EB first talked about adding sound to the figure as well as a remote and now HT is doing the same thing too!I ♥ COMPETITION!^_^

The only problem you have to worry about the figure falling apart. Enterbay does not have the best quality control.

Yeah, they're regular bodies of late keep falling apart, no way am I trusting them with motorized parts and electronics. Still look forward to how this will look, but will be passing on it.

Yeah,i'm not too sure about that one!?:dunnoYou see,i've had a total of 7 Enterbay figures in my lifetime(so far) and had no problems with any of them.I'm not saying that the QC problem doesn't exist,it just doesn't exist in my world(knock on wood).:pray:I sold all my 1/6 figures(EB & HT) and switched to strictly 1/4!:yess:Of course,i've come real close to buying a 1/6 figure(Django line,BW Carlito) here and there. When it comes down to it, i prefer the detail and overall appearance of a 1/4 scale figure to what some of the COOL accessories a 1/6 HT(or even EB)figure offers!Like i said before,it comes down to preference!:wink1:

I don't want to deal with Enterbay directly since they sound like a nightmare and quality control chances are way too high. What would be a good official retailer who gets Enterbay products and to which I could send back my figure if it turned out full of quality control issues? I really want a 1/4 Robocop, but I'd rather not be stuck with one full of problems.

I wouldn't deal with EB directly either. One bad experience with them was enough for me. EB 1/4 figures have great sculpts and paint apps, but they do cheap out in certain areas. Just look at the 1/4 Batman belt. Instead of being removable (with clips) like the HT ones, the belt is glued together. Just an example of how they cheap out.

QC issues are too common as well. My EB T-800 had one arm that was noticeably longer than the other and because of it, the overall figure looked wonky and ridiculous. :slap
