I'm at work now but can take some more tonight. I was just so excited that I forgot to fix the net! I did take a few photos with my ipad from behind glass etc. I just wanted to get the different angles of the hoop first. Will take full side view and others tonight but GEEZ THIS THING IS BIG! Takes up half my kitchen table!!

I don't know how stable it would be, if it's not connected to the ST hoop, but ST sells this also:

The stands might be high enough to get those dunk poses you might want to do. But then again, it might simply topple over if it's not connected to anything, I don't know. It's around $35, so it might be cheap enough to experiment with.

With the height of the Board nearly close to the top of most display shelves, just hang the dude on the ceiling or top of the shelve with some fishing line would make things easier and look more pleasant. You know the same way they hang live actors when shooting Hollywood movies. 2 Strings just to be safe.

That would be cool, if you plan on displaying it in a fixed position for a bit. But if you're constantly changing poses, the stands might be less hassle.

Edit: With fishing line you could do extreme NBA Jam type poses :lol

Right... and my ceiling is vaulted. A simple base to put underneath is easy enough. I have a CNC machine which I could cut. I do like the clear plastic holders tho. From the looks of photos online, YES, those clear holders for ST would indeed get the ball above the rim. Not sure how stable the base would be on its own tho. $35 isnt much and would get the floor. Personally I like the Bulls base best tho. It's cleaner than having the pegs on the sides. Will be thinking about this... Lawrence, where do you see this for $35?? I see it on ebay for $70.

To be honest, $35 is really expensive for 2 stands and a base. But you can always argue it's about economy of scale.

You might want to see if other companies like Bandai or Kotobukiya is offering similar stands which stand on their own, i know they have different stands for different size/weight and are no where near $30. The base you can always find something flat and print your own bulls floor on it.

If you are doing layup/dunk poses, switching the pose won't be difficult, you can always move the board if you can move the figure. put a hook, tie a fishing line with extra length so you can adjust your desired height, or best put a sliding bar on where the hook is so you can move it even more. And when you got tired of him airborn just remove him from the line and put him back on the floor.

That's a nice looking hoop. By the way the ST holder is not very stable even when it connected to the hoop.

it might be just me on this, i too am still leaning towards purchasing this now (it's about a 60 dollar difference from the storm toys), but if the figure doesn't even reach with the stand all the way extended, does that still mean it's the exact 1/6 scale of a hoop?

Yes it is still 1/6 scale of figure and hoop but the stand just isn't high enough. Kind of like an after thought since they probably didn't have that in mind when they first started making these. Just place something underneath that works to raise it up for a dunk pose.

Here are photos of figure underneath the rim. With base and without. Also one going for dunk. These were taken before I made an image to place over the Enterbay Brand on the base.

Scale looks good enough for me. Putting the figure directly under the hoop made quite the difference, from the video posted earlier, with the figures standing behind the hoop. Thanks for taking pics. Appreciated :hi5:

Cool... Well, you can also see that a platform will have to be made to raise the figure up. In the dunk image, the clasp is actually clamped to the right leg! That is how high he is and still BELOW the rim! So yes, something needs to either be placed under the stand, or a longer cord is needed for a nice dunk. I will just make a circle of 1" wood and paint it red for underneath to get the figure high enough.

LOL.. I have the clasp clamped to the right leg of my figure also. I don't think your figure needs to be much higher though. MJ was more of a distance jumper than a high jumper.. although he could definitely get vertical when needed. Looks like he is just not quite at the apex of his jump.
