LOL! Good one, at least with the older heads you could adjust that, not so with some of the BTS GOD ones. They took out EVision on the later ones, didn't they?

Yeah they took it out. The one I have displayed is the one without EVision

I will have to find a generic african american headsculpt on ebay. It shouldn't be too hard to make his outfit, and once I install the rooted fro wig and beard, it should have the desired likeness to Kareem.

If EB release their NBA line, it might be easier for you to make a custom Kareem

Oh yeah, so what's the story on that? Who are they making? Is it going to be a statue or action body figure? Is it going to be 12" figures but called 1/6 scale, or is it going to be a true 1/6 scale?

I didn't realize how bad I wanted a GOD Kareem figure until I lost the ebay auction on custom GOD Kareem figure the other night. So I decided to make my own. It was a crappy custom anyway. I busted out 2 True Type African American bodies, and went to work with my beloved Dremmel set. Here is the proto.

FRANKENKAREEM!! Yes, I know. But I think it will look decent once I fill in the patched joints with putty resin and spray bomb the body to match Kareem's skin color better. My focus was on preserving the ariticulation points. And since no one here wanted to get in on the custome Kareem headsculpt from HK artist, I will have to find a generic african american headsculpt on ebay. It shouldn't be too hard to make his outfit, and once I install the rooted fro wig and beard, it should have the desired likeness to Kareem.

At least with the footprint on Bruce's suit you know how big to make his feet.

I noticed that the BD heads that OKToys have don't have it either. If it had looked like Rorywan's I might have had one.

As Gung Fu mentioned a while ago, he found a vendor who will custom make 1/6 scale towel in any color combination and size. I myself am thinking about getting 2 yellow towels with black stripes and 2 black towels with yellow stripes. (one medium size and another full size body towel) It is quite cheap too, US $1 each I think. If anyone wants to get in on this, please PM Gung Fu with quantity, color and size. For your size reference, towel used in below picture is 2.5" X 6.5".

Silly me, I don't know why it didn't occur to me, that these could be anything other than 1/6 scale action figures similar to the HT Avatar figure

If only Rory took some pre custom pics I think in addition to getting a better BD sculpt, Rory's photography skills manage add to the coolness of the sculpt. I saw some 1/1 Onitsuka Tigers today, not the GOD colour, and they were £55! Ouch!

I was looking at the Onitsukas out of pure curiosity, the ones I saw were like the ones above. I'm not really into sneakers per se, well, not 1/1 anyway!

Was just curious how they went about it if anybody knows how to do it or who it was that done it? Ideally i'd love to pick this set up but dont think i'll be able to afford it at the minute. Was hoping hot toys were gonna reveal a game of death figure at ani-com but...well, we all know how that whole event turned out.

Yeah that must have been the pics i saw. They looked really good. And i've got a spare hot toys bruce body so would love to grab the battle damaged head, the suit and maybe the nunchuks. that'd do me.

Yeah onitsuka tigers are really great. I have a couple of pairs of the mexico 66's and a pair of the tai chi's. Really comfortable and really great looking. I love them.

As far as I know, the neck ball on the BD head is the same size as the HT one so I think it'd just be a straight swap.

Anyone care to elaborate?

Yeah, I've been there!

I was waiting till the dying moments to bid on a BBI Lucifer, I placed my bid, but, before the screen could refresh to confirm it, the auction ended! It just so happened that it went to a mate of mine in the next city so he sent me pics. I got to see it in hand just before he sold it on. By then I had my own Lucifer so I was ok.

I did win an FOF Bruce Lee head (Genuine too!) by using the same tactic though, so it does work. It's all in the timing!
