I seriously hope this figure releases by the end of this month. My friend who'll get it from HK says he can get the figure for me by June 15/16th if its released on time...

No update yet, but there's a photo floating around that shows that the torso on the new GOD figure is bendable. You can bend the chest and shoulders forward to capture the iconic BL posture that was depicted perfectly in the EB prototype pics. In all of the supposed release pics - the figure is posed standing completely upright with shoulders and head pull back. Even when Bruce stood fully erect - his torso still had the distinctive forward curve with the shoulders hunched.

I'll try to find and post that picture of the forward bending body.

We have seen the pic, it showed its abs being all compressed... its somewhere in this thread, but much earlier... The torso IS bendable and we know it.

I've seen the b&w pic of just the abs before in the thread. This is supposed to be a pic of the actual figure with the torso bent in the Bruce posture in stead of standing upright.
I think that arc curve in the back is key to getting the BL look. And is also why the arms look puny in the pic where he's just standing upright like any other bloke. Notice in your avatar footage of Bruce; his arms aren't all that bulkly. Ripped, but skinny if you look at it. What defines it is the fact that Bruces shoulders are pushed forward. If the body can do that - I'm satisfied that it can be posed to look like Bruce - and close to the prototypes. That's the point I'm try to make.

I had the same experience with the Medicom ETD Bruce body from a few years ago. Pre-release pics didn't look like bruce at all. But the shoulders on that body can be pushed down and forward. Once you pushed the shoulders in the right position - it made all the difference.

I guess the best way to describe the BL posture is concave. Shoulders and head tilted forward - torse bent forward. Seen from the back - the back is rounded laterally and horizontally along the shoulder blades. I'm much more optimistic about this GOD body now. Apparently - the pic shows that the neck and shoulders are bendable too.

I just saw that figure with the jeans to the side too Axe. Didn't notice it before, but it does look like the torso is bent forward there. And the neck is bent too. Good sign.

I'll try to get my lame friend to send me the pic he's talking about.

Whoever it was at EB that posed the figure standing upright like a Ken doll needs to be fired!

I sincerely hope it releases by the end of this month, my friend is going over to HK on the 10th of June and he can pick it up for me then...

one more for scrutiny, also courtesy of '我不是正太YUI' at weibo.com,

Not sure how I missed this pic. Call me an optimist, but the torso looks damn good in this (even though the pic is blurry). In the other pics - the torso looks barely like the prototype mainly because of lighting. In this pic - the spotlight is place directly above and down on the figure so the details in the abs, chest, etc. pop like they did in the prototype. The arms look much better here too imo - and the bobblehead affect is gone.

Again - the Ken doll posture screws up the balance. The neck looks too long because it's not bent forward. Bruce had a long neck.

If the figure looks like this - I'm satisfied.

Honestly Im getting this figure as I dont want some 'custom' Game of Death. I was late into this hobby and the Bruce Lee line is what I follow. Im not PASSING up even ONE release from now on. And knowing Bruce Lee is LITERALLY Enterbay's reputation, I still held onto the figure even when many pulled out. I sincerely hope my gamble does turn up trumps...

See. This is another good sign. That gap in the armpit that is circled is visible because the shoulder and arm is pulled way back. If they were pulled forward in the proper Bruce posture - that gap wouldn't be so visible. Having the arm pulled back also minimizes the width of the overall chest area because you're only seeing the shoulder muscles from the front side. Bruce's shoulders were so bent/rotated forward that looking from the front - you actually see most of the shoulder muscles almost as if seeing them from the side; giving him that cool wide shouldered horizontal line. The torso not being bent forward also diminishes that look too because you're looking at the chest at an upward angle instead of straight on like in your avatar Axe. Bruce never puffed up his chest like it is depicted in the pose of the figure in the pics.

I personally don't mind the crease in the inner elbow. That's to be expected.

I predict that this whole "controversy" ends up being much ado about nothing - as a result of a mixture of bad PR from EB, unrealistic expectations from collectors (based on the prototype pics), and then backlash because of some badly lighted pics.

I've actually got two pre-ordered so I'm putting my money where my mouth is literally. I think these will be awesome.

BTW: I've been working on a custom BL figure for years now. Just to quench my own obsession with BL - so I've studied the physique well (if that isn't obvious already lol ). I'm always looking for the definitive BL 1/6 and so far - Enterbay has been the best to capture his spirit. The EB ETD had the props and the outfits right, but the face is not Bruce - I'm sorry to say.

Here's my custom BL head - ETD. Third version:

I'm actually making my own PF out of this instead of a 1/6 poseable figure.

Some people are ok with crease, some not but have you people looked at your own bent elbow!! If there aint a crease then your not bending your elbow right!! Lol

Hey Wai Man can you tell me if this figure will release by the end of this month? I have a friend whose going to HK on the 10th REALLY hoping the figure gets released by then so that he can get it for me...

Heheh :hi5:

I think people also need to realize that rubber is extremely hard to photograph. if you photograph a light colored rubber material with diffused lighting - you get pics like these where everything looks like it is lit from within. Under spot lighting or just normal room lighting - it looks more natural and the details are highlighted much better.

And yes - that crease in the elbo won't look so obvious as in the lighting conditions there.

Hehe. I just noticed that in Axe's avatar footage of Bruce - you sort of see the same crease in his same arm.
