Again, if it was Vader you all would be sucking his nipple..

I think your brain is probably broken. Medicom already released an over-priced, under-sized, and inaccurate Vader figure of their own.

The main issues with this one are *not* that it's ANH Luke... it's that it's a suck-hole ANH Luke that they want $300 for. This should be the simplest deduction since the need for fire, yet you've theorized everything else under the sun.

See... now I'll even accept that silly strawman argument over "You don't like it because it's boring Tatooine Luke."

Spoken like a true Sideshow Star Wars fanboy :clap Seriously dude you should learn to step outside the handful of Star Wars and Indy threads you're camped in 24/7 and smell the fresh air!:1-1: We get the fact you dont like Medicom or Hot Toys making BETTER figures just embrace them :nana:

:lol:rotfl Inaccurate post content aside, are you actually defending this POS? :lol

Seriously dude you should leave this forum forevAr. That SS fanboy has several Medicom and Hot Toys figures as well :lol

Would you pay $300 for this if it was accurate and was gleaming with greatness ?

Lower. Hasbro's had a better likeness. :lol

Thats not even funny. This figure does look pretty decent for what it is. And I think when they get around to making the cooler figures most of you will be very pleased with what this merger has to offer. And would gladly cough up the $300 when the time comes. But $300 for Luke no!

Are you blind?! :lol It doesn't look decent for what it is. It's a $300 representation of Luke Skywalker from Star Wars (A New Hope for the newbs). The likeness has more in common with Jody Foster. Frankly, the boots look like Hasbro's Farmboy boots. The rubber belt and rubber accessories will also be on par with Hasbro, except that unlike Hasbro, they'll probably come packaged all misshapen like every other one of Medi's Star Wars offerings (which save for Han and Anakin, I've owned). As to the body... We'll either get a Medi body (which given the Indy bodies, they're still fragile as ____ and represent 13 year old boy physiques) or an Enterbay body with sub par articulation. At this point, the robe and pants become irrelevant. So essentially what that $300 goes for is a a great paint job on a figure that looks nothing like the character it's supposed to be and a gimmicky light-up lightsaber you're only ever going to turn on every so often to impress your friends who'll think the figure sucks regardless of how cool the saber is. And no, if this is a sign of things to come, I wouldn't pay $300 for anything this merger releases and wouldn't even consider dropping that much on a 1:6 unless it was a grail I'd missed that's gone up on the secondary market.

I don't see many of us making a jump from what is already a high price point with upscale 1/6 figures right now and paying double. $300 is PF territory and I personally am not going to be paying such prices for any 1/6 figure... unless its an HT pred :)

this is what i was gonna say but i couldn't find the words. i would have just said it sucks and is not worth $300. and future figures would have to look about 1 million times better than this before i even think about dropping $300. i'd sooner switch to statues at that price. and i have a no statue policy.

I'm no Medi-hater and often disagree with Nam, but I have absolutely nothing to add or counter in this post.

I understand trying to stem the flow of negativity, but this release is one of the biggest let-downs in recent history. I seriously can see no redeeming features in this figure, save for the light-saber.

The collaboration of two major 1/6 figure companies should have really shaken up the market, but they failed miserably and had the nerve to ask for a ridiculous price. This is an unmitigated disaster IMHO.

Don't get me wrong, it is a cool figure, but it cannot hope to compete with the level of detail, intricacy, use of materials and even accuracy that other companies are putting out (and not just HT; DiD, the guys doing the Scarface figure, heck, even the new DML figures). And the pricing just makes it laughable.
I can understand Medicom's stylized approach and disregard for scale, but the price-point and today's competition make this figure something targeted towards a niche-market at best.

Totally agree with abake, this figure is such a let down, it's such a shame to because when I 1st heard that Medicom & Enterbay were teaming up together, I was just so hoping that they were going to combine there strong points but instead there done the opposite, oh well

Hot Toys can't even get Indy right, what makes you think they'd get Luke?

Because they're HOT TOYS!:pfft: And HT's worst Luke would look better than anything SS or Medi has done, Even EP6 Luke. Just like their supposed crappy INDY looks better than anything out there. This figure looks like they didn't even try.

Hopefully SS gets it right with X-wing Luke

Doubtful. Their $250 Indy got spanked by Sideshow's floppy $90 one. Even Medicom's Indy was more accurate. :huh
