I can see Hammill in this shot/angle... straight on and profile I still don't see it, but this helps illustrate they were at least kind of close.

:exactly:

Thanks for the pics. I'll look for this when it's a minimum 50% off.

Watch out rory, enterbay/medicom critics are out to undermine your product, then disappear when better pics start turning up just like the EB bruce thread.

I find it funny that people, who has no interest in getting this piece, keep coming back here and spoil the fun of those who want or have the figure.

Anyways great pics Rory.

Are you serious? Compared to what other 1/6th sabres?
Well it matches my MR Skywalker Sabre perfectly.
You do realise this fits on the top of your finger, yeah?

Haha, I am just being funny here....mostly, since everyone else is picking on the HS, I decided to pick on something else to nitpick on. LOL

But to be honest, they did get a few details wrong namely the lack of the mylar tape on the clamp, the clamp is facing the wrong direction, the bubble strip shouldn't have a black base and the D-ring is mounted wrongly. Not sure if the number of grips are correct too.

I don't have my SS luke anymore but I am pretty sure that lightsaber is more accurate. At the very least, the clamp is the right direction on that.

Which MR luke do you have? The FX or the LE? If it's the LE, then the inaccuracies should be obvious to you.

If it's the FX, that one has quite a few mistakes too. The only FX that is pretty much 100% accurate is the Vader and the Anakin ROTS.

Then again, this thing is 1/6th scale and it's an amazing achievement that it can light up. I am really impressed by that.

.

There is part of that... but "the everybody hates Medicom/EB" argument also gets old.

And its not just Medicom/EB: I bought the Yavin Luke from Sideshow when it came out... and even though it has its faults still enjoyed the figure. But the overwhelming negativity directed at the figure made it hard to enjoy discussing it on the board.

Exactly, so why would anyone bother posting pics then?
It's a law of diminishing returns, these threads will be pretty dull when no one bothers their *** to take pics and post them.
It's a shame really. I notice none of these guys are posting comparison pics of any kind. Except those Sideshow sculpts which turned out pretty bad IMO.
Anyway each to their own, I will know better than to bother posting pics again.

Sometimes you got to just keep on truckin' :lol

Even though I'm not a fan of this figure (and the price makes my brain hurt) I still love seeing in-hand photos and hearing what owners think.

And out of curiosity... how is his height? Is he in Medicom Star Wars scale, or is the body taller like the recent Boba Fett figure?

Great pics Rory, I would pick this up if the price wasn't such a huge deterrent.

Thanks guys, I completely agree that the price is ridiculous. I'm a sucker for things like this though. I just really wanted a Luke that is as sophisticated as HT or Enterbay. And this has that realism on display. The sculpt looks like a real person. Maybe not totally Hamill but it does look awesome.

I also think some folk are forgetting what Hamill looked like in ANH especially around the beginning. He looked very different than he did later in the movie and the following episodes. Remember the deleted scenes with Cammie? He has that look here, nerdy, skinny and a kinda annoying teenager.

Anyways.

I'd like to see a height comparison shot next to medicom c3po or sideshow obi wan.

Man you are way to sensitive if the comments being made are bugging you so much. Did you sculpt this guy or something?

Not bugged. I'm one of those guys who bothers to take pics and post on here. I have noticed of late the amount of _____ing that takes place as soon as you post anything Enterbay and to a lesser degree Medicom related is just crazy. I like creative criticism. I'm pretty critical of new releases myself. But the random blind _____yness about one company or another just does my head in. Not specifically talking about this thread. The Enterbay GOD thread was just ridiculous for a while.

I mean, saying this looks like Hasbro. What's the point.
It doesnt bother me personally, but it does make me think twice about bothering to post my stuff on here.

That right there is an interesting comparison.

Now I kinda want to see this figure in person.

these pictures, more than any other highlight what's wrong with the sculpt for me. his nose is wrong. that's really about it. however, since the nose is located central to the face, it throws everything else off. Shame to think that that one little thing messed up what might have been an otherwise very impressive sculpt of Hamil.

Anyways.

I'm not forgetting what he looks like. It's comments like this that keeps these threads, that you seem to hate, going forever.

The sculpt does not look that much like Hamill. Its not because we all went senile and forgot how Mark Hamill looks. It's because it's a poor sculpt. Now, the continued commentary is probably based on the fact that there are better sculpts out there, and this one seemed to be a failure to finally get a good Luke, and this piece is so absurdly high. It seems most people agree think along this line. If you want to believe it's a good sculpt, that's your option, and that's perfectly fine.

But I haven't seen people "b*tching", in fact I've seen plenty of reasonable critique. Why others want to label that as "b*tching" is a mystery (unless it's just to make themselves feel better about their purchase). Now if others come along and actually post childish stuff for no reason, it's likely they are trolling in order to get a rise out of the people. Ignore those attention wh*res and be happy with your purchase. But don't classify all criticism of the sculpt as mindless b*tching or trolling. That's unfair.

Spacecrawler... stop yakkin' and finish that Bantha!!!

Ha, well it's finished, but I still haven't taken pics yet. Though I live in Los Angeles I can't find a decent "desert" looking setting to take the the pictures. I guess my kitchen table with had to suffice.

And I'm working on a Wampa now. :)
