believe it or not they're the old Hasbro figures. They look great, but R2 is a fraction too small, (hardly noticeable) but 3PO is too big. He's about 12" tall, which would make him 6' tall... which 3PO most certainly isnt! lol When you stand him next to ObiWan ... 3PO is taller than him, lol
But as a pair to display, you can get away with it... and I always just put R2 in front to force the scale a bit and make them look a bit more matched.

You know, What's really great to hear about this SW line from Sideshow is that pretty much everyone, both on this board and over at the Rebelscum boards has said the exact same thing upon recieving their figure. "Wow. The pictures dont do it justice"
Thats such a good thing to hear and it makes me feel very positive about this line. Theres been so much anticipation for this figure, and theres been an awful lot of speculation and whatnot, So much hype generated by us collectors, that I really did expect there might be a lot more negative comments made about it.
Im really pleased that hasnt been the case. Often when theres this much anticipation for say, a movie or an album by a band, invariably, the product cant possibly live up to peoples ridiculously elevated expectations of it and it either falls flat on its face or it becomes a bit of a non event and you suddenly wonder what you got so worked up about in the first place. Its so cool to see that this hasnt been the case with the first sideshow 6th scale SW figure.
Its a really positive signal for the future of this line. The fact that almost everyone says "Wow! the pictures really DONT do it justice" even though they've read that same line from other collectors on boards for weeks now. Its clear that this is the first reaction everyone has when they get the figure and its a very very strong first reaction.
The future of this line is looking SO good. I havent even got my Luke yet (I'm hoping it'll arrive tomorrow ) and im already looking forward to getting Annakin and Obi-Wan. If people think Luke is this good, whats the reaction to Obi-wan gonna be like? That sculpt is just fantastic. I cant wait.!

YOu know? Im really surprised that we havent seen an expanded universe custom Luke using this figure yet. Im thinking Luke from Dark Empire specifically. Cant be too long before they start showing up though surely. People must be starting to fancy a change from Clones by now.
Although I love clones, with their funny noses and big shoes and buckets of water that's really confetti... oh wait..... nevermind

Got mine today too. How great is this figure?? I had pretty high expectations for this first figure in the line and I wasnt dissapointed at all. Way better than I even thought it'd be.
This just excites me even more about the other figures we've seen so far. If Luke looks this good, how cool is Obi-Wan gonna look? I cant wait.
We in the UK (and EU) had a long wait for this guy, and for me, it was well worth it. I even got one of those little rubber wristband things with mine. A black one with Sideshow collectibles on it. Nice touch.
Anyone thats still waiting to get theirs, I can honestly say youre not gonna be dissapointed. anyone still on the fence about picking one up somewhere? go for it. Its a great figure and a fantastic introduction to the Sideshow Star Wars line. Man, I cant wait to get the others.
