it would be nice and makes me think i should be asking in advance for a quote on all items i have on order.

Its nice to know the shipping cost before it ships. This should be a standard policy.

I thought we were meant to get notice 15 days before shipping with the shipping costs? that is what happened with the Sam doll and what is meant to be happening from now on.

We shouldn't have to ask for a quote. It should be given on the final invoice which should be issued before the item ships.

i didn't even know my latest piece was going to ship until i got a fedex shipping number and then it still didn't mention shipping costs, that arrived a day or 2 later i think.

Yeah i agree then we have a chance to cancel if the shipping is too high.

That sucks i was told in an email i'll have shipping costs before my Vader bust ships incase i need to cancel.

Did you get hit for duty and vat?

it's due to arrive tomorrow so i dont know yet. sideshow says fedex will ring me so i can pay vat and whatever but i've used fedex for years for work and although i rarely get charges they've always just sent the bills through the post a week or so after the item gets delivered.

someone a few posts above got a fedex delivery already but didn't sound like they got a phone call either. which i dont think will happen.

to be fair that could have been a one off or the email could have vanished but i was suprised i got a tracking number and i didn't know what for.

Yeah that's true the email might have got lost guess we'll see if it happens to more people.

I recently bought Sideshow's latest catalog (it arrived yesterday) and I live in Spain...anybody knows why in the tracking info, my order jumped from California, then to Paris (France) and then to Spain?..I thought the new shipping method would ship directly but nevertheless it goes first to another EU country.

The funny thing is that the package was brought by the same man that always brings home Sideshow's orders.(from before the new shipping method)

FedEx will only contact you via telephone and request you pay clearance fees if said fees are above a predetermined amount. Any duties below this sum will be paid by FedEx themselves and then billed to you via mail once you've received your shipment.

Do Fedex collect COD? or do you have to pay them with CC before they deliever?

You will receive an invoice through the post requesting payment of enclosed fees within a specified time, after receiving your goods.

first i receive the package and then i pay???that's weird!:confused::confused::monkey1

Okay so I rang my CC company to see what my final flexi payment was on the Spidey BiB.

The final payment = $89.99
Charged $131.59
Therefore shipping = $41.60

Well my mate had an Iron Spidey delivered from the EU warehouse which cost him $44. So not a huge difference in cost it appears. I'd still like to see a few more shipments before coming to a conclusion.

i know, i've used fedex before, unless you were just saying so everyone knew.
anyways, got my first delivery from sideshow via fedex just now. $25 gift card included which is nice, not sure i actually want anything with it though but the thought is there.
wait to see what my bill is like when it appears.
full value of item was declared on package with a description of "original sculptures and statuary, in any materi"

Hope it works out for all you Euro freaks.;)

Changes have worked out great for us down under with the latest PF postage costing me half of what it used to.
