Cos I'm English and we did not make it because of incompetence I'm rooting for the Dutch - I've always been a fan of their brand of football... for me anyone but the Italians!!!! I got a sneaky feeling the Germans might do it though.
The World cup match between Portugal and Netherlands is a classic,13 yellow cards and 4 red cards,haha,will never forget that one.
I am very excited about this. I am rooting for Germany because that's my favorite team. Other teams I'd like to see win are Turkey and Netherlands.

Embrassing that none of the home nation got into the finals espeacially as the BBC bought the right before we all embrassed ourselves.

Well being Scottish, if it wasn't for a last minute goal from Italy then we would be there. With the talent that England have even with a bad manager you should have qualified. Personally, I would have refused to play on the synthetic Russian pitch
Even though I'm English I'm glad our excuse of a national team didn't qualify as it'll mean no plastic patriots drinking stupid amounts of alcohol and sticking flags everywhere for the duration of the tournament only to remove them as soon as Ingerland lose.
No doubt the English TV companies will still mention the 1966 World Cup every 5 seconds regardless of the fact that England have done nothing but miss penalties ever since.
As for who I'd like to win,I'm not really bothered as long as Cristiano Ronaldo gets kicked out of the tournament.

Well, the Chezch won the first game against Switzerland and Portugal is leading 1-0 against Turkey. Great game so far.

Since the poms didn't qualify i would usually go for the Dutch but there style of football is not as attractive as it used to be so i basically hope that whoever plays the most attractive football takes the title.
Wouldn't mind Spain winning for a change as they have had some good teams over the years but just seem to lack the mental toughness to win it and cause they have quite a few reds in their team has nothing to do with it.

The Portugese played well in their opening game - the first game is never easy - they will take some beating - but I can't see them winning the thing.

Clearly the Germans looked to be in fine form today against Poland. The added pressure of being labelled this year's favorites to win didn't seem to phase them in the least Obviously I am cheering for Germany, but I agree....anyone but Italy! Biggest bunch of diver's I've ever seen. The way they flop all over the pitch you'ld swear they've been shot. If there's a team that plays with less honour and integrity I don't know who they are

Germany are nearly always mentally tough and well organised even when they are not on top of their game.Would hope to see France get back to their fluent best and i will just sit back and enjoy this tournament and maybe pick up a team as i see a few more games.
Hopefully its won by the best football and not defensive tactics and counter attack like when Greece took the title.

Yeah, I remember well how Italy won [if you can call it that] against Australia. They're an embarassment to the sport. Problem is here in Toronto there's a huge Italian community [probably the 2nd largest one in North America outside of NYC]. After every Italian win they all jump in their cars, waving Italian flags and honking their horns all night long...it's enough to make me want to puke. On the bright side, seeing them after a loss, sobbing uncontrollably on the street's and in their spaghetti is a real treat

Yes, Croatia put away England before the finals and then Austria last night!! Yes! It really sucks that all these games are when I'm at work though!! AGH!!!!
