It would be interesting to know how many who pre-ordered, are absolutely 100% dead-set going thru and actually getting it shipped, and how many just pre-ordered, for the sake of it, hoping to get the money later, somehow and, if they can't... cancel later.

the latter will happen I assure you but won't be that often. the only chance that I might drop my pre-order is if I find the piece somewhere else (e.g. a trustworthy retailer) in a better price. Remember this is the first ever 1/4 in LOTR line. And it's Sideshow Exclusive.

I'm certainly keeping mine unless some unforeseen circumstance causes me to cancel but I honestly think that there will be many available to those on the Wait List come time to ship.

As I mentioned in the "almost gone" thread, lots of scalpers, speculators and wishful buyers pre-ordering as usual. It's a shame because if the final product delivered looks like these prototype pics, it will be THE BEST 1/4 scale statue yet, even better than, dare I say, Vader...

True and IF you find it at a dealer, I'm pretty sure it's going to be higher priced simply because they pay retail on the exclusives, just like us, and then have to mark it up in order to make some profit.*

Do you have a Sideshow account? All you have to do is sign into the newsletter section and see all the latest announcements. Plus you have this site which ordering Lurtz has been discussed here for the past week or so.

I decided to pass on this one. PF is too expensive and Lurtz is just not that high profile of a character to drop $350 on

PF Aragorn, Frodo or Gandalf will be mine for sure. Perhaps another couple of pieces that stand out in this line as well.

Damn, I had to leave my desk at work for about an hour and a half and it was sold out.

I placed my Wait List order at 2:21 EST though, (I think that was about 7 minutes after it sold out), so I'm 99.99% sure I'll get one after cancellations and CC declines.

I'm sure the regular version will pop up cheaper elsewhere, but I've gotta have the exclusive on this one. Mine will be displayed with the bow.
