EXO-6 Star Trek “Deep Space Nine” Figures

Captain Sisko has beamed down to Minas Miami and he is a winner.

I just opened him up and checked the head sculpt and it is fantastic. I'll be checking him out further, along with Asmus's Gandalf the White later this weekend. Excellent week for 1/6 figures.

My Sisko arrived this morning - as others have said, he's generally fantastic. I'm a big DS9 fan, and I'm thrilled to see him looking so good.

My enthusiasm has been dampened big time by my breaking his arm. The right shoulder joint was extremely tight and attempting to move it resulted in my snapping the arm at the bicep. I'm usually very gentle with my figures, but I wasn't this time. I put a lot of pressure on the joint - too much. Discounting Burnham's wrist peg, which arrived broken - it's my first ever 1/6 breakage, and was 100% my fault.
I'm honestly gutted it happened to one of my favourite characters.

(Edited for clarity as I want to be clear this was my fault - anyone can reproduce it if they push hard enough lol)

Saw a Burnham body on ebay. it was “white” with the edges of the forearms (and i think shins) painted to match the headsculpt.

I’m guessing same deal for Sisko. Sourcing a more common color was probably cheaper than getting custom plastic for every character and generic body colors rarely match the skin tone of the headsculpt, even for white characters.

Ugh, exo sent the right outer sleeve but the wrong contents. Will have to get onto support now :/ No shot glass, extra hands, rifle etc.

I have to admit, to add further disappointment, I’m just not feeling this one. The face is too flat; it needs a little extra shadow or something on the paint apps. I know we’ve had this discussion before. Yes, exo isn’t Hot Toys but this doesn’t look like the photos. His lips don’t even seem to have appropriate colour.

The baseball has poor paint apps, despite it being small and the the tricorder barely squeezes into the pouch, to the point that it becomes a chore to remove it. It even got scuffed up in seconds. How does this happen when all past ones are fine?

The figure also has loose feet and Finally, why the hell is he rattling? See video

And I’m not even overreacting. I don’t know how it got past quality control. I’ve emailed them asking for a returns label. I just can’t believe so many things can go wrong with a single figure. My most anticipated too :/

Have you checked the back? All the extra accessories were in a plastic shell beneath the figure for me.

Thank you. I have to put my hands up and apologise. I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t think to check before posting and its not my intention to bring anyone down.

However, the fact remains that I have a figure which I’m not proud to really display. The accessories could be better and I can’t deal with the internal rattling and loose feet. My concern is that as Exo starts to ramp up production and get more figures out of the door, they’re not doing necessary QC checks to ensure that each figure goes out perfectly. I’ll still be contacting them in the hopes of getting the body replaced

They won't return or refund only exchange. Suggest you contact nanjin himself. Nanjin will authorize fast shipping, his staff will send by regular post that takes 2 months to arrive.

Yea I will. I’ll be happy with an exchange. Honestly though, this is a love and hate thing. I actually think they’ve delivered too much. I mean, why can’t you get any movement out of his standard uniform he comes packed in? There is no way I’m trying to position these arms and risk them snapping like Silentreprose above, much less swap out the jackets. In hindsight, perhaps I should have ordered the no frills edition. Just a very odd release, which has soured my enthusiasm and I think future ones I will avoid ordering such editions.

Something very similar happened to my Janeway. The upper arm snapped off like a brittle twig the first time I moved it.

It was not a broken peg like yours, more of a glue separation which would have been an easy fix if not for the non-removable uniform. There was just no way to get to the joint without ripping off the beautiful uniform. Bought her from my LCS, so they are handling the replacement, but it’s taking forever.

But the point is I’m concerned that the custom bodies they commissioned may not be as durable as they could be/should be…

Don't on my account - I broke mine; I don't consider it a QC issue - although I was certainly frustrated at the time, it's definitely my issue, not the figure - I could break any figure I wanted the same way lol. KXG's rattling is different, but please disregard mine!
