You're being very modest, just like a true artist. You definitely improved the sculpt as you have with the others you've shown. Capt Janeway wa another example of your "eye" and hand.
Bravo!

Well here's my T'Pol with a few paint tweaks. I'm still not the best with painting eyes, but the huge stock ones were kinda creeping me out so I had to do something. Also repainted the hair and lips, and lightened the eyebrows, although the detolf lighting is making the hair look a bit darker than it is.

Serious "come hither" / "come to bed" eyes.

Great work Dave.

Big improvement IMO

My God, that's 1000 times better!

I'd still like to see it from some more angles, but WOW, what an improvement!

I understand why EXO does things the way they do, and there's probably no way around the process they use given all the obstacles they face, but it's really unfortunate. Sub-par prototypes for sure erode pre-order volume, and when that happens, I assume EXO produces smaller totals of the figure because pre-orders are designed to gauge interest and potential sales. So (I'm sure to NT's delight) when Hoshi comes up for in stock immediate purchase, she is likely to sell out extremely quickly now that people may actually want the vastly improved version.

And I know NT says all the time that if you pass on the preorder of a figure based on a prototype you don't love, you stand to be very disappointed when the actual figure ships. But this is still a hard sell. There have been plenty of EXO figures that were just as mediocre when they were shipped as the prototypes were. But that said, EXO figures (in general) have been on a definite upward slope of improvement since the company went live (with a few exceptions here and there).

I wish we didn't have to gamble, but I guess it is what it is....
