It’s pretty much impossible to find a matching angle to do an apples to apples comparison, and as always, some of the EXO prototype photos are much better than others, but I think S3 Picard is easily one of their better efforts. Add to that the few tweaks that always seem to get thrown in at the last minute and the “always better in hand” factor, and I think this Picard is well worth the pick up.

But as others have said, if the other major players don’t all look at least as good (and actually get made) the question is do we need a lonely old man Picard hanging out on our shelves. Then again if you get him and for whatever reason decide not to keep him, and a title character, he should be far easier to sell or trade than some others might - particularly in the Trek arena.

Agreed.

Hopefully that either Commander/Captain 7 will look closer to the Picard S3 look and not have to do major changes. Voyager Seven didn’t look too bad, but there was still discrepancies that didn’t look like the actual Jeri in that particular series.

I wonder if this means they are targeting sculpted hair. I know it’s just a rendering so nothing even approaching being conclusive here, but despite the likelihood of limited articulation, I think sculpted hair Seven has a much better chance of being great!

So are we getting a EXO-6 “Artisan” version of Commander/Captain 7 so that we can go through the screwed up que in order to possibly get one copy and sell it for 5x the MRSP on Evilbay or save it for investment purposes?

Trying to decide if I really need Old Man Picard. Rapidly running out of space, and still need room for the TWOK and TOS grails, not to mention DS9 and TNG.

If I knew Captain Seven was going to be out of this world and that the hair treatment would be excellent, that would sway me to keep my Picard-Picard. My argument earlier was that he’s the lead character, so if you collect ANYTHING from the line you pretty much need to start there, but I’m still scratching my head.

I assume you have FC Picard and will be picking up TNG Picard, that’s a good amount of representation of the character.

If Seven is your deciding factor, we haven’t really seen EXO-6 produce a female sculpt that nailed the detailing around the hair. Then again, I think it’s obvious that VOY didn’t get the white glove treatment and it’s possible they’ll put more capable talent on this line.

If the STP version of Picard isn’t as near and dear to your heart as the other versions skip it unless your plan was to pick up the other characters of the line. That’s the only scenario where it would look out of place if you have everyone else from the series but not Picard.

You can easily have Seven as a stand alone or alongside someone like Shaw.

Honestly, other than Seven, I don't feel much desire for any S3 figures anymore. I loved the season obviously, but would much rather have all these characters in their prime.

Of course it doesn't help that they're leading things off with such a severe and angry looking Picard. Lol

UPDATE:

I allowed the addiction to take me and paid off Picard-Picard.

I just love knowing a figure is on the way. And I also took my own advice from a few pages back. If I decide I don't need him for some reason, he shouldn't be too difficult to sell off down the road should I choose to since he's Picard, the lead of at least six Trek series and movies. Shall see...

Surprised you didn’t have your section 31 edition already
