Am aware, was trying to avoid that - actually proven then? Not that in anyway I wish to discuss this on here, just reminds me of a certain moon-walker and his stigma - yet people still love him and have all sorts of collectables of him so…That may have something to do with his off-screen woes.
The mentioning of degradable materials got my attention as well. I wouldn't want anything like Hot Toys' "degradable" faux leather that begins falling apart way too soon...I don't know about the degradable materials, I planned to have these as heirloom pieces to hand down to my kids.
Main reason I am buying 2 of each.
One business reason may be that if they release the most desired TOS figures first then people will fall off of the line when they try to sell more obscure characters. By selling the obscure characters first, the business is able to get additional sales because consumers have demand for any release.I am really excited to see all the Star Trek figures being previewed this past weekend! There are so many, which is great on one hand, but it is going to force me to be selective on the other. Presently, the line looks like it will be drawn with the original crew (Kirk and co.) for me.
While I hope that these are released eventually, I will say that I am puzzled at what seems to be a rather stubborn refusal to release STOS bridge crew figures in particular Chekov and Uhura. I guess there were signs of a Spock, but that's like one of approximately 47 Spocks, I think.
Anyway, I'm not sure why episode specific figures like The Cage or even Mirror, Mirror would get released before the bridge crew unless EXO-6 goal is to purposely distance themselves from QMX. I can't imagine these episode specific figures would sell better than the bridge crew, so it seems rather perplexing to me all the way round.
I generally like TMP well enough. Not my favorite, but it is the last time Trek really felt at all like TOS to me. First time Collins comes on the screen now though, he's initially distracting to me because of all that stuff before settling back into the story. If I had to get it for a 2 pack or something, it would never come out of the box because then my display would be just as ... distracting... for a second. I don't need that.Dont see any calls for Decker. Stephen Collins must be Kryptonite
If there was one I'd kitbash a Jake Cutter from Tales of the Golden Monkey.Dont see any calls for Decker. Stephen Collins must be Kryptonite
Yes, I thought about this right after I posted. I guess it's a valid concern. As a more casual Trek fan, I might very well decide enough's enough after I completed my bridge crew. But kudos to EXO-6 creating such awesome figures that I'm tempted to buy ones for even the shows I'm not that into. One business reason may be that if they release the most desired TOS figures first then people will fall off of the line when they try to sell more obscure characters. Is a one way street, no one really concern about me, the only person who have put the entire existence of 1/6 Star Trek on my own shoulders for many years.I think the concern was obviously that too many people who own the QMX versions would have decided to pass on the new ones and only pick up Uhura and Chekov to complete their line, which would have doomed Exo-6 from the start.
No. I am trying to minimize thr lost of those who previously collected QMx version.Yes, I thought about this right after I posted. I guess it's a valid concern. And that Klingon Commander Kruge is aces!

To tell the truth, I can easily make the QMx TOS worthless. I just need to change the uniform than I can total destroy QMx TOS.
Yeah - interesting. I had heard about the allegations years back and had forgotten, just refreshing my mind online and was surprised that he had admitted to it. I'm sure that probably points to some immaturity on my part for not being able to completely separate actor and character, but oh well.
It is the same for me with lots of figures. Most actors are duchebags in real life. Their characters much better people than they can ever hope to be. But I still collect the characters that I like.Yeah - interesting. I don’t think its a maturity thing, thats some serious and horrendous stuff so of course it’s going to play on your mind especially when reminded by a single image etc.
Subject matter aside, I have various characters in my collection that are played by utter ******-bags but I still have them - its about the character and who/what they represent in a show/film what have you.
Not that I’m making any excuses of course, its a weird one for sure…
