While it shouldn't be a shock given the lady's age, this was a bit of a gut-punch.

I'm so sad to hear this, but am so grateful for the joy she gave to millions and millions of people over the years.

I only know her from the Star Trek franchise - Uhura was just so iconic - but "only" is really the wrong word to use because it minimises her impact . . . her presence lit up the screen, and when I watched the series WAY after it's original release as a teenager - well - it wasn't just the scripts and acting that kept me interested - the lady was breathtakingly beautiful . . . stunning.

Definitely a sad day in Trek history. Always sad to see more of the TOS crew pass but at the same time it’s not too surprising given her age. Glad I bought an autograph from her a couple years ago even if I didn’t get to actually meet her. RIP Nichelle.

She certainly was. Never got the chance to meet any of them, but they all felt like close friends I’d visit regularly, weekly, daily sometimes. Giving me a lift. Every time the news reports on one of them passing it’s a real knee-jerker, such sad news. Only the 3 now left from the original 7. However they do and will live on through history and our memories.

That being said, and with this thread - question is, which version or versions of Uhura should be produced, aside from like - all of her various iterations

Got to be classic for me, that great figure-hugging Red mini-dress along with hair, the make-up, that beautiful face of course, the ear-piece and her nice set of pins too So iconic and instantly recognisable.

However, any version of Uhura would be fantastic and most welcome.

RIP dear Nichelle, you will be missed and celebrated.

Quick question for those who know:

How long has it taken on average for Sideshow to ship EXO-6 figures compared to getting them directly? I know it's a while, I just don't know how long, because I've always bought from the source.

The reason is because I have a bunch of leftover rewards points over there that are going to expire, and was thinking of ordering Saru using them...I don't really see myself using Sideshow for much else anytime soon, and Saru is the first figure I want but am not desperate to have right away, if that makes sense.

We need to start getting to the essential stuff now. I'm sure it's a lot of dealing with sculpts being signed off on etc but we're almost 2 years into Exo6 and we don't have the following....

Original Series Bridge Crew = 0
Original Movies Bridge Crew = 0
TNG Series Bridge Crew = 0
TNG Movie Bridge Crew = 2 (which were the original 2 releases)

All the niche episode specific figures are cool but if there is a 5 year time limit on these releases, It needs to start ramping up with the big guns.
