Don’t you know how to use the board’s search function?

This thread has come back around to be a discussion of influences on Trek and other related subjects.

Zorro is just a reworking of the legend of Robin Hood. The Lone Ranger is another.

A solid argument for the basis of _both_ the characters Kirk and Picard would be that they are similar characters as well. Defend the weak, stand up to autocratic rulers.

Just purchased my first few EXO-6 figures. Could someone please tell me after EXO-6 gets a pre-order in and ships it to customers, how long does it take for companies like BBTS, Entertainment Earth, Sideshow and any others to ship a pre-order to customers? And are any of them faster than others? i have ordered from both BBTS and EE before, and it always seems like BBTS gets products in a month or two quicker than EE. Not sure why that is. Thanks for any info.
Hi and welcome to the forum.

I can only speak to BBTS, in my experience when I was ordering from there I would typically receive the shipment approximately three months after those who ordered directly from EXO-6.

I’ve since switched to ordering direct as I haven’t had to pay any customs duties.

Oh ok, for a sec she looked brunette? So that is Picard S3 Seven?

I'm still irked Picard S1-S2 was so poorly recieved (although deservedly so), and is being completely ignored by ExO
I really needed a whole Sirena bridge crew of just Emergency Hologram Rios' :lol

As far as I remember:
EMH Medical - Emil
ENH Navigation - Enoch
ETH Tactical - Emmet
EEH Engineer - Ian
And EHH Hospitality aka Mr. Hospitality.
They should have added one more Emergancy Hologram:
Armed-Security -Aramis

Thanks for the info - that was so helpful! i pre-ordered a few figures from BBTS and now i know how long they will take. i don't want to pay EXO's crazy $25 shipping fee for each figure. i suppose if i wasn't in the US, it might be closer to what companies like BBTS would charge, but since i can get $4 shipping from BBTS for a whole pile of loot (and they're much quicker than EE) they are who i will continue to order from. However, i do wish i had pre-ordered my favorite character from EXO-6 while i had the chance instead of going with BBTS. Who wants to wait for their favorite? Oh well.

I know it’s supposed to be really good and all but after those first two seasons I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch season three of Picard. One day I will but the first two seasons were so mind numbingly awful.

I doubt I’ll get Captain Seven either way. Just not a character I really care that much about. Wouldn’t mind if she’s the next pre-order so I won’t be tempted to order.

I have to be honest, I hardly remember many of the plot details from P1 & P2, but I found P1 quite interesting and worthwhile, and P2 was watchable but maybe a notch or so below P1, but P3 was pure fan service awesomehood from first episode to last! I think the success or failure of the entire Picard run depends mostly on how much these characters mean to you and how big (or how small) the place in your heart is for TNG and the TNG family.

But from my personal perspective, I sure am glad they made it happen!

I'd rather she was a commander since that's what she was for most of season 3. Maybe one of the pips is removable :p

I liked season 3 a lot but the use of the expedited Starfleet Academy courses was ridiculous...
Seven was good but COMMANDER straight out of ONE YEAR or less at the academy? No way. Same with the second character who completed the training in a year... What? It was done just to show unnecessary character progressions and unrealistic to the universe speeds and was stupid as heck.

Even the best Captains stayed in lower ranks for a long time. Years. And after years of schooling... (Ignoring the first time they did this with Kelvin universe Kirk which was also stupid).

This is an irritating trope that seems to have grown to appease the instant gratification generation. Still Seven had served on a vessel for several years so would only need officer training. Not as silly as NuKirk being put in charge of a heavy cruiser instead of just receiving a commendation or 6 months qualified Ensign Chekov being put in charge of engineering after shadowing the engineering team for a few weeks. The writers seem oblivious to the reality of the chain of command extending outside your ship. Story convenience overtaking common sense (cough First Officer Tilly cough). The Simpsons hilariously sent up the trope when an Admiral puts Homer in charge of a sub because he has a good feeling about him.

Starfleet made Kira a commander and she wasn't even a Starfleet officer. I'm not a Matalas fan, but weirder things happened before he was Picard's showrunner

For those with Saavik on preorder. From Nanjins facebook:

We are informed that the Christmas month shipping chaos came early this year. It has already started this Monday.
I started early because we are going to have a new president. I think everyone is thinking the same thing.
Therefore, my advise, pay Saavik's final balance asap when you receive it.
I am going to lunch with my friend at SF Express today. I will bride him with TWOK figures so he can help me to reserve a spot for TNG Picard.
Yes, a few VIP I know in china courier servies are Star Trek fans. We are so lucky to have some insiders as Trek fans.

Rest of the year, per Nanjins facebook;

Unofficial schedule from the Carnival Barker, me.
TNG Picard definitely will start shipping in Dec. We are trying to finish a portion of the production for delivery so some lucky or unlucky fans (we have no way of knowing) can avoid the most intense chaos with Dec logistics. But all TNG Picard should be able to ship before end of the year... if and only if Q doesn't show up and screw up oir plan.
TMP McCoy, scheduled to deliver within 1 or 2 weeks after Picard. We hope to start shipping before the last week of 2024.
ENT TPol, scheduled to ship before our factory/warehouse leave for CNY vacation. We might delay TPol shipment until our One Hand Man returns from his CNY vacation. The reason is because too many shipments will be going out before the couriers close for CNY. We are looking at multi millions of packages at the ports. A very dangerous time to ship parcels. I want to avoid that.
TNG Crusher, scheduled to deliver in March. All molds have started.
Then there are some possibilities for 2 or 3 limited production Immediate Purchases figures in January if and only if we have enough time for this. (Gap fillers for our TWOK production. They can't sit around after Saavik)
That's it, folks, our 2024 year end scheduling. Oh, one more thing. It is highly possible that we can implement the plan for Section 31 in January (it is going to be some other name, I think we have to pay to use the official Trek name).
