Yes, those are my exact words. This figure is indeed laughable as Wesley Crusher. No need to clutch one’s own pearls about it. But do so if you must. Proceed to PO it and sing its merits. Enjoy.

I don't really have a problem with the Wesley sculpt. I don't know if I really love the smirk, but it does fit his character - it seemed his dominant expressions on the show were either the smirk, or the "uh oh, oh <bleep>, I'm in trouble" face. Essential Picards at least came with a couple of hands, tricorder, and phaser. Near as I can tell this one's more expensive and has nothing but a tricorder judging by the promo pics. A phaser wouldn't really fit him, but I wish it had a PADD or something else. Oh well. I'm not terribly unhappy about it. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but if I don't PO it, that won't be why.

In the end, I'm just not sure I want him quite enough. There's still time though...

So, I was hoping my new Moducases would be here by Christmas, but the shipping update now says they are anticipated to arrive at the port in CA by the second week of January.
Which is unfortunate, because I'm doing my best but it's getting crowded in my display case.

Janeway was 190, Sisko was 180 or 215, Paris and Kim are both 170. All aside from the Sisko that came with all the extras are within or close to you 150 to 175 mark.

If Nanjin could produce these at the level of Hot Toys the price point would be lower. Factories offer discounts on bigger productions. Hot Toys produce things in the several thousands or higher, Exo 6 figures don't. That why you see Exo 6 figures sell out relatively quickly.

Well, that is still in line with my position. I gave him a pass on those due to the less expensive cost. Wesley is a higher price point but the sculpt, imo, is commensurate with the lower cost figures I mentioned.

I still would have preferred those have better sculpts and/or paints. They didn't but the juice was worth the squeeze. I can't say the same for Wesley. So I will save some cash on this one.

I'm glad some of you guys think the $220 is worth it. I'll take the risk of missing him. Hopefully we get an Ensign Crusher later down the line.

The total is really more like $240, and yeah I'm not sure even the highest quality Wesley figure is worth paying that much for.

Although I'd be a lot more inclined is he had a more neutral expression. The smile seems like it would be really irritating to look at after awhile.

Oh wow, completely forgot about La Sirena, was it even in S3, they really didn't do right by Captain Rios. He was one of the few "new" characters I enjoyed abt the Picard series.
Would still love to see a figure of him. And his Captains Chair with some way to have floating holo-controls and readouts? Maybe some light-up translucent pieces?

Hot Toys has bulk. Probably over 20x the sales easy. The bulk let's them put more money into quality.
You'll never see them quite match Hot Toys quality and/or extras. That said Hot Toys has some potatoes too that really miss the mark.

Kinda a straw man argument. I didn't state they should match HTs quality. I said they are approaching HTs pricing so I expect better quality. That's not the same argument.

La Sirena was in season 3, it was the ship Raffi was on with Worf. But it was barely relevant.
It's not my favorite ship by a long shot, but I try to collect all the "hero" ships.

Completely not 1/6 or 1/12 or normal figure related but rumors from trusted sources are saying a Star Trek LEGO set is in the works for the second half of 2025. No word on what but it's pretty much got to be TOS or Next Gen (because NuTrek largely sucks and doesn't sell merch as well).

Circumstantial evidence includes the lego-like company that held the franchise recently lost the rights. LEGO has commented on LEGO ideas about how Star Trek license was owned which stopped them from considering the franchise in the past.

I'd love this. Love LEGO. LEGO is increasingly adult aimed. I can only hope.

Apparently it’s a 3600 piece Enterprise D set with the full bridge crew plus Guinan as mini figures.

The sculpt in the preorder isn't the one we will end up with. Exo6 always refines sculpts after preorder.

You also have to take into account things like inflation when comparing the price of figures today to ones that came out a year or more ago.

The price is fair when compared to other prices in the market.

You actually aren't inline with your position. The figures you listed are within where you said you think the price should be for their quality, but yet you use them as a example to support your argument that Exo6 charges to much for the quality of the figure. If you truly gave them a pass you wouldn't of used them in your example. So which is it? Do you think they are fine for their price or do you think they should be better for the price charged?

When you say someone's pricing is getting close to HT pricing while talking about the quality of the figure and paint apps you are inferring that you think in order for them to be at HT pricing they should be at the same quality. It's easy to see where he would of gotten that impression based on what you wrote. I got the exact same impression from what you wrote, that you are expecting closer to HT quality out of Exo6 because of the price of Exo6 figures.

It's not at all unreasonable to want an increase in price to correspond with an increase in quality.
