Pretty sure he was not talking about production issues, but that to compensate for the tariffs he will have to reduce production quantities. Less quantities mean less time between figures, hence it will mean speeding things up. But it also means they might be harder to order.
That's how I read it. Tariffs = Higher prices (in the US, and possibly everywhere else if his costs go up) = Lower sales = Fewer of each figure produced = Faster turnaround times.

Wonder how this impacts their non-figure projects such as the Borg Alcove and Enterprise D Ops/Conn consoles, etc.

The consoles seemed fairly early in development. If they’re talking about lower production runs that means less runway to spread cost.
