Not to cause another panic... but I have already noticed a slight amount of staining on one of my Data heads. It's only at the very base of the neck though so not a huge deal.

Not nearly as bad as the QMX Picard at least.
I think staining from black fabric is basically impossible to avoid entirely--I'm sure if I popped the head of my ROTJ Luke I'd see it there, too. The problem with the QMX release was that the staining extended way behind just the part of the neck hidden by the collar.
Checked both of my Jedi Luke figures just for curiosity. One has a very small bit. The other looks like it has a couple black dots. Not sure if that’s the fabric or what.

Hello

Do we have some news about the Borg Queen ? Do we know for sure if it'll be released or is it still just a rumor ?

I'm not even a huge Star Trek fan (I mean, I like Star Trek, but I need to rewatch the series, I never saw everything and it was a long time ago.)
But I always loved the Borg Queen design, she really creeped me out in the First contact movie. I always though it was a really cool "horror" design.

Haven't seen anything recent. Here's a picture that popped up a few months ago, but it still looked like a work in progress

Borg Queen was one of the original teases from the First Contact line but then she never happened. Still in development as far as I know but got pushed off.

I think Nanjin made mention of EXO-6 working with another company (maybe Iron Studios?) but for whatever reason it didn’t work out.

I would get a Borg Queen if it were made, but it's honestly very low on my list of priorities. And I'm sure Nanjin saw the lack of excitement for a statue version and decided to put it on the back burner as well.

Well...it is my top priority now because they teased it AND I already have the characters I wanted.
I hate when they tease something and then backtrack...
It gives false hopes.

I would very much prefer a 6th-scale Borg Queen figure, that would fit in one of those alcoves and also be easily poseable with other figures. Otherwise, a statue would probably involve a base that will take up a lot of the space around the sculpture and limit the type of 'scenes' one can dream up (like Quark trying to buy his way out of being assimilated).

Did someone know why they went for a statue version ?
It's true it would be better.
But maybe it has something to do with the suit. It would be hard to find a tight suit with a lot of details that allows poseability.
Or they should do a hard plastic figure without any kind of material for clothes. Like a big Neca figure. But 1/6 collectors don't like that either. I personaly don't mind. Sometimes I think it's better to use plastic for very specific characters instead of using really poor quality materials like fake leather that flake in one year.
But it seems when they don't know how to do specific outfits, they go for a statue.

It’s likely the costume hindering the articulation making them reconsider if making an articulated figure is worthwhile. Locutus can barely pose. And they can’t just use some generic female body, chest has to be a unique sculpt.

Not sure how it would stain black in that area. The inside of the collar is yellow. It might just be that the sculpt didn't get enough paint there.

They forgot to glue the neck to the ball joint on my Data, which is how I found out that the inside of the collar is yellow. The head came right off and I thought I had somehow broken it. Gonna need to find some super glue.

What is your most anticipated figure, if it isn't the Borg Queen ? 🤔
Among the ones they announced I mean.
I'm not really interested in the recent ones, Spock or Pike from Strange new worlds.

Maybe it's Saavik for me. Also because I'm more familiar with the movies.
I also think we need more female figures. It's sad to see that literally every company in this business has a hard time making good likeness of actresses.
The weakest EXO-6 figures are the female ones. Let's hope they do something good with Saavik. And maybe later a Deanna Troi ?

This Data is great so I'm happy with it, but if he wasn't that good, I would be complaining that they prefer doing several versions of the same characters instead of doing other crew members 😅
