^ I get that Nanjin isn’t liked here. And for obvious reasons it seems on both a personal and professional level…but comments like this…just seem so…unnecessary. Surely we can aim to be better.
Wes can help you aim.

I’ve been a completionist on this line so far but this one I was on the fence even before seeing the figure. I don’t have that urge to instantly preorder as with the others.

I’ll wait and see how this turns out, I’m sure he’ll be available for immediate purchase for a while.
Yeah this definitely isn't one of those you pull the trigger on immediately. Lol

Wesley wasn't in my plan but I was open depending on the final product. I really like the Gray uniform because it's a nice contrast to everyone else. However, to me the smiling face just doesn't work with any of the other crew. Placing him in with the others would give the idea that he just made a horrible pun or un-funny joke and no one is reacting! I had a similar reaction to Neelix and didn't order him either. It's ok, I need to be selective.
Happy New Year All!

My TNG Capt Picard direct from EXO-6 arrived yesterday and I've never been able to get any tracking info along the way! I'm relieved to receive it! I'm pretty impressed overall. The head sculpt isn't spot on, but from certain angles is a pretty close resemblance. I'm satisfied with it.
However I did also notice the issue with short sleeves on his duty jacket tending to expose the wrists unless the arms hang straight down. I did make sure to push the shoulders into the highest upwards position, but it makes it hard to pose with anything in his hands or gesturing. I also was a bit disappointed to see that he has no hand that holds his tea mug! I was hoping to be able to pose him with it as I do Capt Janeway with her coffee mug.
Does anyone have a thought or recommendation for a substitute hand? If nothing else I may have to attempt a surgical procedure to separate fingers on one hand, though I don't know how successful that can be.

There's a hand that pinches the handle, and another that cradles under the cup. I forget which is left and which is right.

I saw a picture of it somewhere, or I wouldn't have figured it out, either.

Good info!
I couldn't get the cup of Earl Grey, or Kamin's flute to grip safely- so I went with the "Engage!" Finger- which looks great 👉

HNY all! Had a surprise beam-in yesterday, Mister Pickerd is here!

That's 3 Enterprise skippers down, 2 more to go for me (TUC Kirk and PIC Seven)

Zero regrets on going for the Darmok Essential on this one, I am so satisfied with what I received here. But if nitpicking, I would say I'd much rather they'd included the tea mug or his "Engage" hand instead of the tricorder, since the holsters aren't very compatible with this uniform. Oh well, I'm still thrilled they even went to the trouble of doing it at all, since the standard TNG duty uni would be my fourth choice in terms of Picard looks (FC, which I missed > Darmok jacket > Generations > TNG duty)

As for the uniform itself, I was not expecting an actual suede-like texture on the jacket! I also found a lot of the concerns about it being too baggy easily sorted with enough futzing, in-hand it looks great to me.

I generally agree with takes on the sculpt that say some angles are better than others, but I still think it's much better than the proto shots all around. If the FC version had a sculpt this good, I probably would've bought it when Exo launched and skipped a TNG version entirely. Already did so with Data anyway.

I was also not expecting him to really bring my Exo collection "together" (if that makes sense), to the degree that he has. Despite being a hardcore Niner first and generally taking a fantasy-football approach to collecting this line overall, Picard's addition ended up bringing an unexpectedly significant jump to the progress bar on this collecting journey. Must have something to do with being the captain with the most screen time :p

TNG Wesley before TWOK Kirk & Spock??
It should be obvious by now that Exo is intentionally back-loading the marquee figures to keep the company stable enough to even do characters that aren't Kirk and Spock. It took them 14 months to produce Saavik and she's not even a top-5 figure volume-wise. If they put Kirk or Spock up for PO now you'd still be waiting years to get them, and those of us who cherish more than 2 characters from this franchise would be sending our prayers to Nacelle instead.

Nice work! I think that's the best Darmok jacket futz I've seen so far!
