Now weā€™re talking! And little more lighting care:

Saavik and Spock shouldn't have the same hair color. There's a difference between dark brown (and not very dark, tbh) and black. The painters don't seem to know that.

Saavikā€™s hair was least brown and closest to black in TWOK, but it was dark brown for sure. But itā€™s a nit that isnā€™t going to both me much. Iā€™m sure @davejames will touch it up for us and then we can see if the difference is worth the effort.

It looks darker when it's up. Lighting effected it a lot. But Nimoy was dying his hair black for the movies, and Alley's hair was brown. If both figures have black hair or both have dark brown hair, that's an issue - kinda like painting Major Kira's hair brown instead of a brownish red.

My one for sure nit to pick with Saavik is that her Monster Maroon turtleneck is way too high. And this seems to be a feature specific to the production figures because the height was perfect on all of the promo photos.

Other than that, however, the tailoring is spectacular! Her bridge uniform fits like a glove showing off her EXO body beautifully! The proportion look great too!

As for the sculpt, itā€™s definitely Kirstie. But if you just point and shoot for photos, you likely wonā€™t get too much detail. This is a figure that needs to be lit from above and slightly forward for the sculpted detail to shine. Hoping to put that advice into action today or this weekend. You might also get into some blank stare territory if you photograph her from straight on. EXO made some much needed revisions to her eyes making them as big and beautiful as Kirstieā€™s, but they may read a bit ā€œstareyā€ straight on. The 3/4 angle is the money shot!

All in all Iā€™m thrilled with this piece! TWOK is here! She looks really good when lit well! Canā€™t wait to add all the othersā€¦..some day.

I think she looks nice. Kind of middle tier for EXO-6, far beyond some of the earlier ones. Very happy to see her and I think they did good.

I think she looks a bit barbie-fied. Almost too perfect. Hair a bit too dark. But still 4/5 stars as it's still a good looking figure with a great uniform. I'm nitpicking. Also haven't bought her because I have to limit myself to just TNG and DS9...

I see what youā€™re saying about the Barbie-fied aspect of the sculpt, but that can be at least 90%defeated with lighting.

But as discussed a few posts back, weā€™re apparently never going to get a SNW Pike/Spock level paint up on a female character. Mainly, I would guess, because the softer skin and softer features of the female of the species (any species) generally donā€™t have the same level of topography seen in most males, but that shouldnā€™t be an excuse not to subtlety shade a cheek or accentuate the eyes. I believe women call this makeup šŸ˜‡.
