EXO-6 Star Trek "TOS" Figures (The Original Series)

I'm sorry but I have all The Qmx figures and am absolutely planning on replacing them with Nanjing's new TOSs. The QMXs are good but EXO-6 is making major leaps in 1/6th quality. I think when Kirk, Spock are revealed they will sell immediately. IMHO from what I've seen from previous releases the rest of the series will be better than QMX (ie.Scotty and Sulu). Waiting patiently, relax...

I guess the flipside is, given how long it will take EXO-6 to produce these figures, I will be able afford to upgrade them because I am saving more than enough while I wait because I'm not buying anything Star Trek that is non-TOS in the meantime.

I have the entire QMX Trek line and the only one I might consider replacing is Spock unless the EXO versions are just undeniably superior. And I have to be honest, although EXO’s tailoring has been absolutely impeccable, those old TOS tunics are so basic that it’s hard to see how significant improvements could be made at the level of, “OMG! I HAVE to have a new big three!”

The custom bodies EXO invests so heavily in doesn’t feel like a game changer for those core characters to the point of feeling the need to replace the QMX versions.

All that said, I CAN’T WAIT for EXO Uhura and Chekov! Both of those figures will benefit massively from EXO custom bodies!

Uhura is going to be an interesting ride, though. She will easily be in EXO’s top most wanted releases behind the captains and maybe a few of the most notables. And that body is going to keep Nanjin in fits! You thought Seven was a difficult custom body? Just wait!

I really hope we get some better bodies for these figures than we did for QMX. Those original COO bodies were not right for these characters at all, and the leaner V2 versions were too overly muscled. And I thought they made Kirk a little too thin.

I don't know - if the fabrics and colors are different, even if they're not "better" then I could see the difference in how they display together being a factor as well.

While Kirk and Spock especially, and probably Bones too have saturated the market, Scott and Sulu releases were so botched.

Dangerously, I'm extrapolating from myself here a bit. Scott and Sulu sold out in less than an hour on the QMX site, and the second waves never happened. I still don't have either one because the ebay prices just weren't worth it to me.

I'm sure I'm not alone, but the question is, are there enough "me's" out there to support even a TMP-style limited run of them? I dunno. Even though I have Kirk/Spock/McCoy, I'd still re-purchase them for the consistent display.

I mean not exactly but we already kind of have an idea what the TOS uniforms will be like based off of the Mirror Sulu. Only difference will be the color offerings (set accurate versus screen accurate).

Going off a rusty old memory here, but I didn't think TOS was getting screen accurate, only set, since TVs where so wildly different back then.

Pretty sure Nanjin has said he’s doing both. Think that’s the case for TOS and TNG.

Curious because I already have the 5 that QMX issued. I need Exo-6's version to match.

QMX was supposed to be all set color and matched with the actual costumes. But who knows if that may still change a bit from the set color we get with Exo-6.

I'm not sure what to think? Is that the episode where the Nanny ignores the kids and her job, and instead she dose some self-serving shtik, to try to get with the dad/boss?
