Ok so I’ve been looking at the picture most of the afternoon. I think I’m coming around on it slowly. I think the underlying sculpt is ok but it’s the photo and paint job that are hurting it. I’m giving EXO the benefit of the doubt because all their photos usually leave a bit to be desired and often their final products tend to look better. So I’ll guess we’ll see.

These Voyager figures don't seem to have too much realism in their sculpts. I think the costumes have been done well, but the sculpts and paint jobs are very soft. I'm sure they would all look great together mind you.

I missed The Doctor and Tuvok, so I don't feel the need to pick up the remaining figures to come because I can't get the whole crew. So Janeway and Seven are my two definites from this line.

There is something slightly minimalist stylized, nowhere near, but almost approaching a Filmation aesthetic (which to me isn't a bad thing so long it's across the line) though obviously more detailed, everyone looks like themselves, and the line looks great.

LOL I love this fantastic Voyager done in a faux-Filmation style.
Ironically the famous original Mego Trek line was more based on (and concurrent with) Filmation, than the original series.

So does the line just end? I think it was mentioned we could see a couple of antagonist characters) Species 8472, Hirogen hunter, ...
Or continue into alt. costumes and looks?
Cause as mentioned I would get a couple of Captain Proton themed cast.

With all the new series figures coming out, I wouldn't be surprised if some of those Voyager plans have been scaled back a bit. A Hirogen is probably still likely though, since it seems to be the most requested and Nanjin will want to have at least one villain for the line.

As far as core crew members go, I think they’re not going to venture much into alternative versions. There’s talk about a Captain Seven so that would be two versions of the character, is there sufficient demand for three versions, not sure as I thought there was supposed to be some Borg representation coming out of the FC line. The other thing to consider is the exclusive club that’s been mentioned, maybe a Borg Seven would be one of those special high priced releases reserved for specific customers.

For sure we’ll see delta quadrant aliens though.

Yeah, she was on the show for its first four seasons. It would seem like she’s a main character enough to be made.

In my minds eye I envision a Voyager captains/XO chair set, helm console, and printed backdrop with everyone else standing around promo photo style. Does that up the ante?
