We do know that certain groups of individuals within certain government organizations can and have been documented as carrying out some pretty heavy **** so I wouldn't scoff at the idea.

Now I'm not saying we should bite into every theory that comes down the pike, but we should seek to address every single inconsistency, coverup, or misdirection. It's too easy to get caught up in emotion.

The days of recieving timely and reliable information from a free press are long gone, be prepared for some assembly required. Personally, I'll breathe easier if this ends up being an incident that won't be used for any kind of sweeping agenda from the guvmint. Get the guys, put em on trial and kill em till they're dead!

The way it is done here has kind of turned me off of religion/church. It makes me sick some of the teachings they teach and preach. What did it was when I was visiting my parents we had a missionary priest come and do our mass and at the end ranted for 45 mins on how gay people are evil and they need to be cured and we need to let our children know that this is wrong. That was 4 years ago and I really haven't felt the same way about church since.

Yeah but I wouldn't let that ruin it for you if you're looking to go. Don't let that guy taint it.

Remember, just because Church A or some visiting missionary priest starts coming in with hateful garbage doesn't mean all the churches and priests do that or feel that way. The parishes around here don't do that or spread that kind of message.

As for those Westboro nuts. What they're teaching and how they're acting isn't in the bible or what other churches proclaim at all. Unless I missed God/Jesus/etc. telling people to picket funeral ceremonies with hateful words and signs. Don't they have this weird philosophy that if you die you go to hell? They're hate group, plain and simple. I can't think of many religions that think that way. I don't know why people haven't shut them up.

As for their view on gays, while most religions don't think it's right or approve of that lifestyle, they don't hate those people or think they're evil because of how they think or feel.

When are people going to realize that there is no side, both parties are one in the same. As the late George Carlin said - "they only give the illusion that there's a choice, you have no choice."

It's just like wrestling. :lol

Hey! It's wrasslin'!

the thing that makes me mad about some churches, is that they act like they never sin. They act like nothing they ever do is bad. But everyone else is going to hell.

funny you should say that because Anonymous was saying they wanted to start their own news site or something. They were collecting money for it.

But they do believe you can be "fixed or cured" which is really sad if you think about it. I know quite a few catholics and have read priests preach online about why gay marriage is wrong. They believe marriage in a physical since should be about creating new life. What about couples that can't have children? Do they not deserve to be married either since they can't create children? There is a possibility that my gf won't be able to have children do we not deserve to get married either? :dunno

So, if these guys are somehow directly involved with the bombing, does anyone think they are just going to turn themselves in? Everyone in North America is looking for them now, so I would presume if they are innocent they will turn themselves in. In they are not I might be worried about another bombing.

I highly doubt they will turn themselves in. This is what I would be afraid of. For them to give it one last go and make it bigger and badder.

Some might, I dunno. I've never heard that around here. You can't "beat it out of them" or force someone to think differently. That's just how they are. Their sexuality or preference isn't everything in my opinion. Who they are is more than what they're sexually attracted to.

Basically if you don't act out on your compulsions or thoughts whether you're gay, addicted to something, porn, etc. I don't think the church cares.

Everyone's got problems with something, not just gay people.

This discussion isn't the place for this Boston bombing thread or the thread in general so I won't dwell on these ideas here.

I don't think so. It's more than that. It's that idea of a man and woman being the "missing part" of each other, that soul mate, that other half that completes you. A church isn't going to think any less of you if you and your girl can't have kids.

As far is it being "wrong" to be gay. I've got friends that are gay, a few family members too, even some fine folks here on this message board. Their lifestyle or choice isn't what I judge them by. It doesn't matter to me which way you swing. But really, "biologically" and physically it ain't right. Emotionally, I don't know. It makes sense that that life style wouldn't be acceptable to churches as far as marriages go, religiously. I can see why that wouldn't be celebrated and why it's frowned upon with churches. The church saying, "that isn't right" isn't evil or wrong of them I don't think. It's an iffy issue.

Now legally married? That's completely different with spouses, finances, plans, houses, sharing income and such. I guess I can sort of see that. What if their partner dies? Insurance and all that jazz?

Back to the Boston marathon bombing. You can see that guy with the white hat from the posts above running away in this picture, he's to the left,

The fact they were together, then that one ran towards the second bomb and other guy is pretty amature.

Not sure about this but some are saying this is when he dropped the bag.
Also saying that was the boy that passed away.

Man, if that is the bomb, that's right next to that kid. Damn. There's something haunting about seeing these pics of the event before the explosions.
