He's up for preorder. 1/6 scale and almost 200 bucks. Seems a bit pricey to me.

200$? Ehhh definitely pricey.

It is made from polystone though so I guess it should be more than your typical 1/6 scale PVC figure. Still I think $150 would have been a better price. It's also an extra $35 for shipping to the US :dunno Do they not have the code to get a discount for Ryo? Is it only the really expensive pieces that get those?

I still think I'll preorder him. I'm a huge supporter of F4F grabbing these licenses and I can see myself buying many of this license if they continue on to make characters such as Kiryu (Yakuza), Ulala, Joe Musashi, etc...

Wouldn't mind a Ren to go with Ryo though:

Lan Di!!!!!

Honestly 1:6 for $200 isn't so bad. The Koto 1:6 are around $210, Hot Toys are crazy expensive....

He looks great, just looking at the statue makes me want to pop the game into my Dreamcast and start playing...hmmm...

Same here. But i don't care at all for the EX base, I think the reg base makes much more sense and is a better fit for the statue.

Yeah I agree. Hopefully the EX comes with both bases. I ordered it this morning. Bring on Ulala!

I did some looking around and this price is better suited than I initially realized. Seems Bowen stuff is around this price too and SEGA and Nintendo are fairly underutilized licenses for high end collectibles so I think it balances out. It helps that the sculpt for Ryo is extremely impressive. Those jeans are outstanding.

So long as F4F keeps pumping out characters I like I will keep supporting their lines. I'm just waiting on Robotnik before I start their Sonic line.

I've been aware of F4F for years but for some reason I never bought their stuff until 2 years ago and so I missed out on some stuff I must have in my collection someday.

Classic Sonic
OoT Link (green)
Samus Varian Suit

The rest is still available or I can live without.

My Ryo EX arrived. I'm going to open it up and take pictures in a bit. I'm really excited!

So as usual I do not have any kind of setup or fancy camera so please never expect really awesome pictures from me or anything.

Based on Ganondorf and Ryo as well as what I've heard and seen from other collectors, I think F4F really is my favorite and the most reliable in the industry right now. Their quality control seems top notch and their packaging always blows me away. I am always confident their products will come without so much as a dent. The customer service is insane too. They are quick to answer on Facebook, like to keep people updated (something Sideshow almost never does which I find frustrating) on the status of the products, and are pretty flexible in their policies too.

Plus it's hard to beat the quality of the sculpts and licenses. In a figure world where most of what gets figures and statues are the same boring stuff that always get figures and statues (Terminator, Predator, Marvel, DC, etc...) it's nice to see a company tackle the underrepresented licenses a lot of us also grew up enjoying, like Sonic and general Sega.

As for this statue specifically, I'm very pleased. He's nice and heavy so immediately I understood why he was priced the way he was. The sculpt is great. The pants really impressed me when we first saw the preorder pictures, but it is just as impressive in person. With this statue you aren't just paying for the base product, but you're paying for excellent paint apps and quality control too. Under fairly close inspection I haven't seen any real issues.

The paint is done nicely. Everything seems smooth and applied exactly where it should be. Only potential error I noticed were these slight light brown splotches near the base of the shoes, but I'm guessing this is just supposed to be dirt. I was very impressed with the eyes especially. Seems like eyes are one of the hardest parts to get right and given that Ryo is only 1/6 I was afraid there would be a higher chance of error, but they got it spot on as far as I can tell.

The base is also really cool. It has this interesting texture that even has sculpted cracks in it that you can feel when you run your fingers along the base. The material itself feels pretty cool too, not sure what it is but I'm guessing it's supposed to give you the impression that it is made of marble.

Speaking of the base, my only actual complaint about this statue is that those who got the exclusive did not also receive the street base. Of course they never advertised that we would (as far as I can remember) but I feel like it would have been a nice bonus to give. I think his shoes are glued onto the base though so perhaps that's why they could not do it. I don't know if there are pegs he came in the box as one giant piece.
All in all this is a great piece and I'm basically sold on this Sega All Stars license. I'm looking forward to collecting it and seeing how they all look together.

From the streets of Yokosuka... right, A, B.

Rio Hazuki (Shenmue) Regular 1:6 Statue 088/750 - First 4 Figures

Very nice statue! It's not anything too fancy but it's very accurate to the game design and I dig it! I have very fond memories of playing Shenmue on my DC (RiP) and I went with the reg edition because to me the fights scenes happened mostly in the streets and it made more sense.
I hope F4F comes up with a lot more coll ideas like this one for their Sega All-Stars series. Now I just need to play the game again!

That regular base is so nice! The exclusive is really cool in person, but I'm liking both bases. Exclusive definitely should have included both. Hopefully they opt to do that from now on.

Yeah but since the statue is all one piece it doesn't help. The EX base is nice too but more artistic. The reg is more 'logical' and for me like I said so many of the fight occur in the streets that it seemed a better fit.

I also love the denim texture.
