I only ordered Black Panther so far..wasn't too impressed with the others like I thought I would be but that got delayed too...
Makes me nervous

I'm quite sure Panther went up for pre order way before Falcon?

I got an email from Sideshow about his delay
He was originally due Oct-Dec

I just looked on a local Australian website, and it appears that the Black Panther statue will be in stock by next Friday!

Their updated ETA's are usually very accurate as I checked yesterday and it stilled showed the 28th February.

If anything it'll be made available a day or two earlier.

But the above Falcon issue has really made me real concerned.

I believe the Black Panther was sourced from Ikons Collectables as distributor and not Sideshow, but the Falcon I'm thinking was through Sideshow.

And given that they were made at pretty much the same time..........

Called sideshow and apparently the entire batch of falcon they received were flawed. Both paint and damaged. So they contacted iron studios about it. Could be months before he is released now. This is not good. First statue to arrive and every single one is flawed.

It's been waitlisted for a few days at least....I went to check on it earlier in the week to see if the ES was posted and saw that it was waitlisted. Oddly enough, an ES was never posted was it?

That sounds about right because my BP email from Sideshow gave a new date range of Jan-Feb.

Omg this is not good. I wanted to get Winter Soldier and Cap and only wanted to wait for first reviews for Falcon and Black Panther before preordering them. Now it looks like the Spidey drama is repeating itself ...
Not sure what to do tbh. I mean, I could just order them and hope for the best, return them if needed but since WS is out way before Cap ... what if WS is fine and I keep him but Cap is so horrible or damaged that I have to return it? Then I'm stuck with WS and have no Cap.

Yeah, I don't know. It's all or nothing, IMO. Either commit and go all in or don't.

It's still early, so things could change, but that's a lot of money to be tossing around, especially when things like this happen.

Well, I tend to be pretty picky and cautious, but I've got WS and Cap on PO, and if I could I would order Falcon right now $$$$. Not ready to throw in the towel just yet, because right now I don't think it's company policy for IS to put out junk.

They have put out some outstanding stuff, and evidently did remake Spiderman. Don't know if that included the base, but the company apparently responded. They've got two concept stores in Brazil, and had that big display at CCXP. Seems like the Brazilian comic stores showcase them.

Then I haven't seen complaints re what looks like a nice 1/10 line. And I remember seeing pics when Sideshow stopped production of a Predator figure because what was coming from the factory was so substandard.

So I am wondering if this is just company growing pains. That if you are having work done and there aren't your own people there inspecting, some of these production places have issues. WETA and Sideshow and probably others have run into problems that way. I'm sure IS isn't smiling at that call from SSC. The good thing is, SSC was checking.

Am so sorry about the Falcon delay, and it makes me uneasy, but hoping that IS - and this kind of thing is costing them money and reputation- is falling over themselves to make it right.

I agree with a lot that you're saying here. I think they definitely deserve a chance, hopefully it's nothing more than growing pains. They've come out of the gate strong, but I hope this doesn't become a theme with them.

And yeah, hopefully they make it right, above all else.

Yes, as you say, it's a lot of money to be throwing around. SSC too I think might rethink distributing IS. And it looks like the whole diorama was in development for a good while. That's a lot to throw away, just because your production factory is sloppy and who knows about the breakage - WETA is able to ship a complex dragon figure and there were never that many damage reports. So I hope it IS just a relatively new company learning you HAVE to stay on top of things.

I'm absolutely willing to give them a chance, I really do, but preordering 2 statues for a total of 1,600€ shouldn't be a gamble like this. Hmm, maybe I'll just wait till they're released and get them only if quality is good. Although, since I'm only getting WS with Cap, I'd have to wait till ... May/June?! WS might be sold out by then ...

I forget, but was it IA or IS that got merged with Prime1? Hoping it was IS and maybe this gets worked out to prevent concerns in the future.

The thing for me is, if I pay for Buck and have him delivered and decide to keep him coz quality is alright, I won't be able to return him months later. So, if Cap sucks, that's it, won't keep him coz I'm not spending over 700€ for a statue that isn't near perfect just coz I already got the other one I've wanted to display it with. So, either, IS solves the problems with Falcon real fast and delivers awesome statues with almost no problems for Falcon, WM and BP, or I'll have to wait for the first Cap reviews. If he's fine, if WS's fine, I'll check if I can find WS in-stock somewhere and get both, if not, I'm spending my money on something else.
