The thing for me is, if I pay for Buck and have him delivered and decide to keep him coz quality is alright, I won't be able to return him months later. So, if Cap sucks, that's it, won't keep him coz I'm not spending over 700€ for a statue that isn't near perfect just coz I already got the other one I've wanted to display it with. So, either, IS solves the problems with Falcon real fast and delivers awesome statues with almost no problems for Falcon, WM and BP, or I'll have to wait for the first Cap reviews. If he's fine, if WS's fine, I'll check if I can find WS in-stock somewhere and get both, if not, I'm spending my money on something else.

I 100% agree with you! I chose Falcon and Cap! and I'm very worried to the point of cancelling it. An entire batch not up to scratch is very alarming indeed. Black Panther looks great also but I've decided not to go with the Civil War one. Hoping the Black Panther movie will deliver more awesome pieces in the months to come. Besides I already have the comic one by XM On pre order already so no loss there. Come on Iron Studios please bloody deliver

The 1/4 Black Panther has now arrived in stock at Ikon Collectables here in Australia (yesterday it said 13/01/2017), but I still haven't heard back from Popcultcha with whom I have my order with.

I'll have to wait until I can call them on Monday.

Delays are common in this hobby, I wouldn't worry unless people start receiving the statues and they have bad QC with pictures showing it. Otherwise it's lots of rumors and speculation. One person talking to a CS person at SS doesn't really mean much. I rather have an official statement from SS or IS before jumping to conclusions.

I agree with that statement. That's why I'm holding off cancelling this piece. I have hopes it will all work out well. Popcultcha have given an eta of February which is actually fine with me. At least by then we will or should have a better perspective of this statue in hand.

If you're going by the date that's on their website, I would ignore it as it's been that since it was put up for preorder.

Popcultcha rarely update their ETA dates, and usually should never be relied upon unless they update it with an exact date, or sometimes when they change it to mid-month, late-month etc.

But I called and supposedly it's supposed to arrive probably this month, but with the issues possibly noted by Sideshow I don't know if that's changed at all.

I've always bought from Popcultcha as it's usually cheaper/similar for me as everything I purchase from them is at a 10% discount.

The only piece I bought which was significantly different was the Iron Studios Spider-Man as I wasn't willing to bet and get caught out on possible custom duties and GST.

Of course I miss out on exclusives, but I don't mind. Heck the only exclusive I didn't want to miss was that headsculpt for the Dark Phoenix PF, which is my first direct order with Sideshow.

Totally hear this. For me, WS was the fav after I decided to jump in $$$, and I figured maybe *one day* I could source the Ultron Cap. Or not. I could happily live w. WS alone provided he was as good as I hoped. Then I saw the picture w. Falcon and wanted more. And then the CW Cap came out. So I thought I'd be OK - at worst I'd be dealing with a WS statue problem FIRST, and I could bail out if I had to. E.g. Bucky and Cap; Falcon was/is a wild card for me because of the cost.

Being "stuck" and having to deal w. an issue - and not being able to return even for a fee - is something else entirely. IMO it's not worth it, no matter how much you want the piece - I mean, I feel like this hobby should make you happy, not make you feel like you got taken. Some of the stories I read on the Statue Forum make me wince *shameful*. Folks just want what they thought they bought - usually after they've waited months it seems.

But I am still hanging in w. IS for now. It makes no sense to me at all that they have turned out some stunning stuff (Magneto, Superman, etc.) and then decide to turn out *&^%. To me that feels like a foul-up w. manufacturer/someone dropping the ball. Maybe a manufacturer/shipper promised one thing and cut corners and delivered another. Maybe IS is finding out the hard way if someone offers you a deal (re manufacturing) that's too good to be true, there's a reason. But it's IS job to fix. And frankly re all those happy CCXP vids and IS "concept stores" (2 of them???) - well, IMO, a new-ish company shouldn't be spending money showing off when there's apparently a second problem with an actual (expensive) product.
IMO you show off AFTER you have successfully delivered especially after Spiderman....

Oh, I'm hanging in! Took me a while to jump in re ordering, but the more I looked, the more I appreciated the design concept. IMO just the feeling you want to have with a more pricey poly. They're unique too. And who knows, paint issues/breakage COULD have been caused by bad handling/storage/shipper. Would really hate to give up on these!

Well, a few collectors (Asia?) seem to have scooped Falcon and BP already...

FINALLY huge kudos to Radsack Prime who has quick, but excellent vids of CCXP 2016 dios up of Team Cap and Team IM. Taken through glass, but awesome.

It's not just Asia. You have to remember that even Sideshow has at least already received their first batch for Falcon. But because of some 'issue/s' aren't sending them out.

It's quite possible that other retailers aren't being picky enough with qc and just sending out their batches to customers without checking.

True, true. And it's not that Asia SHOULDN'T be the first to get shipments of anything - I know very little about the shipping industry except apparently space is allotted on ships for such-and-such shipment, and there's only so much room (e.g. Sideshow explaining to me about my delayed HT Cap re shipping being done in batches). Plus, you've said that Popcultcha seems to be pretty happy to send stuff out un-checked. Sure that's true for most retailers.

Frankly I'm glad SSC is checking. A bit startled, because (apparently) in the past - well, loads of posts, bad and good, on the Statue Forum. But kudos to Sideshow for that (even if it's in their interest as well, of course).

Very happy for you that shipment is so close - so far, BP and Falcon look incredible. But in-hand information remains sparse (at least, for me, in English where I can read). So I know I'm dying for the first in-hand comments. Funny thing was, I was right on the edge of really juggling the budget and trying to get Falcon, and SSC pulled him from their pages. So I guess if I want to order from them, now I have to wait - WS I think will be my first IS piece, after all.
