The FF have a large cast of villains but it depends how they are written whether or not they are "as interesting" as the Silver Surfer. The first one that comes to mind is Super Skrull but they kind of screw that pooch in FF2....Thanos is a natural choice as well so is Namor, Kang the Conquerer, Paibok the Power Skrull, Puppet Master and Terrax....depends all on what angle they are going for.

They could always bring back that cloud

I was thinking Galactus may be the choice if another one is made. I've not seen it but did you guys not say you could see the Galactus outline in the cloud?? Maybe the 'cloud' was a teaser for part 3?? who knows...

If they do use him I hope its done properly, only time will tell I suppose.

Ugh, I hope they reboot the franchise than continue the dreck they've been creating. That comment about wanting to reuse the Surfer in another FF film shows that they have no idea what the Fantastic Four is all about. It sounds like they're writing this film by audience reception rather than the comics precedent.
And they can't do Super Skrull, they already blew that wad in Rise of the Silver Surfer.

That would mean 20th Century Fox would have to commit to spending some money, which apparently isn't in their plans for the 18-35 year male demographic they seem to be targeting. In the last few years, other than the X-men franchise, they've given us 5 comicbook adaptations; AVP, Daredevil, Electra, and two FF movies.

From every one of these movie's we've gotten B-list script writers who only seem capable of giving us lousy storylines, infantile dialogue, and 2D characters that nobody cares about. We've gotten B-list made for TV actors, that are better suited for making commercials than motion pictures. And B-list directors with absolutely no vision, and apparently no ability to get the best out of the B-list actors their stuck with.

Does anybody out there actually think 20th Century Fox gives a rat's a$$ about FF? If they did, they certainly wouldn't have given the reins of this franchise to director Tim Story, a guy who's only directing credits before this series are Barbershop and Taxi.

Unfortunately the 20 Century formula for comicbook movies is to spend as little money as possible, and punch these pieces of crap out as fast as possible. While at the same time knowing full well the demographic they're targeting is going to pay out no matter what...and so far they've been bang on

The only reason me and a bunch of other people I know saw the movie was just because of the Surfer.

Not only that, the majority of people said he was the only thing great about the movie. So I'd say he carries some weight.
