I’m more interested in how hot toys would even go about making a Galatus.

How big is a 1:6 scale Galactus?

Lol, well first I thought Galactus at 1/6 scale would be as big as a house. But when I looked it up I found that while Galactus can present himself at any size he most often seems to present himself to be 28 Feet and 9 Inches tall. So someone else can check my math, but I think that comes to a surprisingly doable (at what cost who knows?) giant figure at 4 foot and 9 and ½ inches. Provided the MCU makes him the typical size we see him in the comic books.

It might be better just to Cosplay as Galactus and march around all your 1/6 figures set up on the floor.

For X-Men, assuming they don't retrofit Fox's X-men universe into the MCU through some cosmic event, I would guess we would get a reboot of these characters.
I'd hope that they do manage to integrate the existing films. It would likely have to start as a parallel dimension, as both the X-Men and Avengers films take place in apparently different versions of New York (there's no way the events of either could have happened without the cast of the other at least noticing).

The films are still quite strong, they have a good cast and it would be a shame to reboot it yet.

So long as HT doesn't stick to their "Wolverine only" approach to the toys, I'd love to see them get hold of Marvel X-Men :)

I see a lot of strengths in the films too and admit that it would be cool to marry these two universes together. There are lots of stories they could tell about being in different universes that now merge or that the Mutants somehow belong to our universe but where placed in a pocket universe without us being aware that needs reunited with. Whatever, they want that serves getting them together while telling a cool story.

HOWEVER, the X-man timeline is pretty convoluted as it is and the Dark Phoenix movie takes place in the 90's (I am not sure how the younger version of the X-men don't age much between films in the 70's, 80's and 90's :wink1:) So not only will these characters have to merge with the MCU universe but also shift in time from the 90's to 2019 or 2020 (whenever it comes out). This just makes things even more messy and convoluted in trying to merge.

Ideally I would love for them to acknowledge the Fox X-Men as X-Men in another dimension or reality, but also just reboot an MCU version from scratch because the Fox franchise may be getting to that point of needing that anyway. But maybe they can tell a story about how one dying X-Men universe can give birth to another. The Phoenix could be a good device to do this with letting us have our cake and eat it too of saying goodbye to one loved universe and birthing another (now combined with the MCU) all through the power of the Phoenix (who is aptly named).

Dark Phoenix apparently is going to have some space/cosmic elements to it (like in the comics)

If Disney can gain actual control of that movie before it is released it would be fun to add just one shot to the very end of the movie...(not an actual spoiler, just using them for effect)
A Watcher is seen from the MCU looking down at the X-Men movie universe.

Yes.

Ya know what? For ages, I've lamented my beloved X-Men being butchered by Fox. So I really wouldn't care for any of them from HT. Besides, the characters I've wanted, like Colossus, Magneto, and Prof have already been made by other companies. Now, if Marvel Studios does a much-needed reboot, then I'm sure we'll see more faithful representations of our magnificent mutants. I can't wait to see what happens.

Gambit as long as it's not Channing Tatum

Sideshow should have already made a Doom figure. They missed they boat so I guess HT would have to be the last hope.

I hope the X Men will now have actual costumes and not street clothes se we can finally get some cool figures.

While I'll give any rebooted X-Men stuff a fair chance, what I'm really hoping for is that we'll get to see more official figures for older characters from the Fox movies other than Wolverine. I'd love to get either version of Cyclops, either Jean, Blink, or Quicksilver.

If they look close to their comic counterparts...
Annihilus,
Sue Storm,
Thing,
Dr. Doom,
Colossus,
Rogue,
Nightcrawler,
Sabertooth,
too many, lol

Did I read this right ..Disney even bought the rights to Deadpool too :horror

well, they didn't buy the rights to any of the characters, they bought the whole studio so they now own the rights to Deadpool along with any other character Fox owned or had the rights too because Disney now owns Fox.

Didn’t Sony or Paramount or whatever give Reynolds complete control of the character. After DP2 , I don’t see Reynolds sticking around. Especially if Feige gets control

I have no idea what Reynold's creative control agreement was with Fox and what that means for Disney. It will be interesting to see what happens. I'm not really a big fan of Deadpool, so I don't care much but I know he has a following and it means money for Disney to try to take advantage of that. Maybe Deadpool stays under the Fox brand which Disney now owns and it's not really part of the MCU directly. I think Deadpool can be it's own thing- it kind of is in the comics.

Yeah I would hope that they let Deadpool be his own thing till it's time to reboot, then bring him into the MCU like in 2025 or something. They could really do a kickass Department K movie to flesh out the new Wolverine. Finally show some of the classic Dept K folks and do the Weapon X program real movie justice. Then have DP come out new from all that with an intro to the MCU.

I'd like to see the Xmen and FF done in HT but with Marvel Studio designs. When that happens, I'm on board. That said, I do like how Fox was handling the DP character designs except Ajax.

There's zero reason really for Deadpool to show up with any of the avengers. Doesn't really fit thematically. So I'm fine if deadpool just crosses paths with the new x-men only. I believe Deadpool already tried to put itself (although with a decent amount of ambiguity) in the MCU. The final battle of the first film is on what's supposed to be a decommissioned hellicarrier.

There's a definite place for R-Rated/mature characters if the Netflix shows have proved anything so hopefully Deadpool stays in the x-force/X-Men realm.

I would approach Deadpool as living in some sort of overlapping parallel universe between the world of the MCU and the "real world" where other Marvel characters can appear in his movies in ways that allow Deadpool to comment, in the 4th wall breaking way that he does, on aspects of the MCU and Superhero movies in general without really having an impact on the MCU outside of his own movies. Deadpool is like a really accurate them based amusement park ride that lets you engage in the world of Marvel but is self aware enough to know that it's just a ride (or movie)and having a foot in two worlds as an aware observer he actually doesn't effect the MCU but just comments on it, but he can effect change in his own life. Deadpool can even acknowledge this and admit what he does doesn't seem to have any impact of the rest of the MCU and guess that perhaps this is how the "Agents of Shield" must feel.

Deadpool is it's own thing and I think he is most unique letting him stay that way. He just won't work showing up in someone else s movie without taking away something from him (where he isn't aware he is in a movie in those movies) or takes away from the movie he is a guest in by breaking the tone by breaking the 4th wall in ways that are not appropriate for straight up superhero films of various kinds.

It will be nice for Deadpool not to have to be as subtle about referencing such things in future movies

R is fine, but I think it can be a crutch sometimes too. I agree with James Gunn who while fine with it being rated R and thinks there should be rated R super hero movies understands that it being rated R isn't what actually made Deadpool a success. The dangerous trap for Deadpool to avoid going forward is that it could stop truly being innovative and just be raunchy rated R rehash of its own formula that "break's the fourth wall" without having anything really to say. I'm not a big fan of Deadpool because I think even in the comics, when done well it can be brilliant, but it also to often it can just be reduced to the lowest common denominator too fooling some people into thinking it's being so "rebellious" from the rest of the comic world and now the comic movie world; when "differen't isn't always by default "better". Right now "R" is the "different"; and it feels refreshing, but it will be reproduced and copied and more and more rater "R" superhero movies will come to miss the point of it all too.

Magneto, Rogue, Storm and Cyclops. But it depends on the design they have. As long as they don't end up having short, blue/purple hair I'll get them if they're ever made.

I think I'll have interest in an MCU rebooted X-Men.

Pretty done with the current Fox films, though. I'll always adore First Class. And I did love Jackman's last turn as Logan. But figures from those are all I really want.

And now that they can be part of the MCU, I hope for a reboot from the ground up. The timeline on the Fox films is atrocious.
