The reviews won't determine that, the box office will. If this only makes like 50 million and costs them 100 million loss, they'll almost certainly consider at least a split back to Marvel. Would be a pretty big risk to try again after 3 bad movies.

Marvel should be in the driver's seat if this t(r)anks, though. They could just smugly sit by and watch Fox flounder until inevitably giving it up for nothing. But then, by that time they wouldn't be able to integrate the FF for several years.

Man, I might not even go see this and I watched Transformers 4 twice in one day! :lol

Put the money to good use instead, towards toys and expensive scotch. :lol

There was online chatter that there might be legal complications in crossing over the 2 franchises since they exist in 2 separate rights agreements with Marvel. With how critically panned the new FF is, there's no way Fox would risk crossing that over with X-Men, but it just seems strange that the creative team talked about a crossover prior to SDCC and then backtracked shortly before the FF film releases. Maybe the lawyers found out they couldn't do it.

The director and cast really turned me off to this movie anyways.

Their attitude eliminated the last chance of me seeing it no matter how obsessed I am with the property.

Fantastic Four (2015): 9%

Batman & Robin (1997): 11%

Freddy Got Fingered (2001): 11%

*snicker*

At least Catwoman (9%) and Supergirl (7%) will be getting 4 fantastic friends in their corner.

Fox won't be letting go of X-Men anytime soon, so might as well bargain F4 for this reportedly X-Men tv show. No reason to hold on to F4 after screwing the pooch on this movie and apparently not being able to crossover with X-Men now.

They should make a deal with Disney like Sony. Let Disney use the F4 in their MCU and let them help make a proper F4 film. Even if it sucks it'll be more entertaining and most people will like it because it's a Disney/Marvel movie.

Since Tony Stark is the unofficial MCU "Reed Richards" and GOTG is now their cosmic team Marvel doesn't really need the FF. But working out a deal to get access to Galactus would be nice.

I bet Fox wishes that could happen. FF doesn't have a lot of value as a bargaining chip, certainly none after this movie bombs. Both of them don't play nice with one another, as opposed to Sony where Marvel has always had a good working relationship with. I'd be SHOCKED if Marvel would agree to a co-production deal with Fox for any comic property. Marvel's in a good spot to just wait this out and get the rights back, or trade something of relatively low value to them like the X-Men TV rights.

I have a feeling we'll see villains or even secondary characters from FF before actually seeing the main characters in Marvel films. They're pretty much locked up for awhile although they did shoehorn in Spider-Man so I guess you never know.
