The figure itself looks amazing, the likeness is there I see it more here than in the preview pic but the face is a little too wide for my personal tastes, either way can't wait until tomorrow to PPO this one.

To each their own, but honestly if I didn't see the costuming I wouldn't know who this was supposed to be.

Exactly how I feel. Not in love with the face, looks like he's been sucking down too much Lembas bread.

Costume looks great. Sculpt looks like Triple H. The key word here though is "prototype".

True, except I don't think he ever had lembas bread in the movies.

Maybe this face is a little more realistic in terms of what we will be getting.

The outfit rocks though -- looks like they even have a cut in the back of the cloak so you can hang his quiver correctly.

I think it looks amazing...I can't wait to get this one! I agree the face might need a 'bit' of tweaking, but I'll reserve judgment for the final. The costume looks KILLER!!!

I might pose him with hood-up anyway, in crouched Ranger fashion with bow ready, so his face will be hidden in shadows.

I guess worst case is that if the final is the same as the prototype, then you have the option of hiding his face behind the cloak. Aragorn is that way right now for me . . .

Even if he had a perfect sculpt, I think I'd still pose him hood-up in a more stealthy, shadowy Ranger style pose...just to make him stick out on the shelf.

The face looks a little full, but I think it is a nice likeness overall. Maybe it was sculpted after David Wenham ate a sammich. The rest of the figure looks amazing, the sword, the quiver, the detailing on the gondorian tree and ranger uniform! I can't wait to order and I can't wait for a bunch more LOTR figures!

I'd agree with that. It's solid. I feel better about it for sure after seeing that. Aragorn turned out very nicely IMO and IMO it looks quite a bit like Viggio and I think overall this has a very good resemblence to David.
