What are some good burger joints that you've been to? I like In-N-Out Burger and Nations here in Northern California. I also liked A&W when they were around with their charbroiled deluxe cheeseburger with crispy fries and a root beer float. Fat Burger was OK to. One place that I want to try is Heart Attack Grill in Arizona. I hear it's real good.

In and Out, protein style; A&W is good is you can find one; I also like Burger Lounge, there's 3 or 4 of them here in San Diego, not sure if they are in other locations. NorCal, I like Marvin Gardens in Belmont.

I hate to say it but lately I have had a really hard time eating red meat. It's like my stomach can't handle it anymore.

We have a few A&W's here but they are in the ghetto and very poorly run so the food is usually sub-par. When I am up for a burger I do enjoy the Frisco Melt at Steak N Shake.

I have a A&W about half a mile from me.............drive up and everything..........great service, great food.
Only been to Steak and Shake a couple times cause it is a ways away.
We have a little place here called Tel-Way burger..........great slider type burgers............

Didn't we have this thread already? Bar None, Hands Down the best burger I've ever had is at Joe's Cable Car in San Francisco. I live about 30 miles away and will happily make the trek just to eat and head home. Its that good.

Do you guys like thinner burgers or thicker ones? I am a fan of the thinner variety. When they get too thick I start thinking about the meat and the animal too much and can't continue eating it.

I like Whataburger and Burger King.
The Whataburger Patty Melt with mayonaise is ^^^^ing AMAZING! Do yourself a favor, and get it while it's available.

I don't want it too thick where you have to unhinge your jaw, then it gets borderline nasty.

I have only had this place once and the only thing I have to say about it is...

whatastomachache! :lol Once was enough for me because I instantly got a food aversion. Although I will say it tasted great going down! :lecture

That's why you need to man it up!

Yeah I know what you mean. That is why I prefer the fast food burgers to the sit down restaurant burgers. The ones at places like chilis are just a bit too big for me to enjoy and leave me feeling very heavy.

I'll definitely give some of these burger joints a try. I love traveling around different cities and trying different places.

For local fast-food, it's In-n-Out protein for me. In the midwest: Steak & Shake.

But the best burger in my entire life was eaten recently at The Burger Bar in Vegas, Mandalay Bay. (Thanx again to LOTRFan! :rock)

However it's followed closely by The Fremont Burger at Gus's BBQ in South Pasadena.
