Don't any of you people go to local places? I like me some chain burgers, but most non chain restaurants have better burgers.

There are a couple good burger places in Houston that come to mind: Beck's Prime and Bellaire Broiler Burger. When I was a kid, Prince's Hamburgers was the place.

There's also a bar/restaurant downtown that has a burger called The Duke. It's an open-faced cheeseburger with jalapenos and it's covered with Texas chili. Yum-yum.

This couldn't be more true. In fact some of the best burgers I've ever had came from places that looked literally like holes in the wall.

To me, it's all about the Krystal:

Good lord! Just that pic alone is making me run to the nearest toilet for bowel explosions! :google

As for burger joints (chain-wise)... Five Guys, Fuddruckers and others are cool... but In N Out simply cannot be defeated.

Anybody been up to Ann Arbor? Up there was Blimpy burger. Great burgers and the ordering system was ala the Soup Nazi. :lol

I live in a suburb of Denver, we don't have nonchain places worth a damn.

On the other hand, I was addicted to Chipotle before 99% knew who they were.
