Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

Agreed!
I knew it was coming, it is inevitable in Spider-Man's origin story, but I actually slightly hoped they would kill him off in a sequel or something because I liked the character so much better than the one from Raimi's Spider-Man.

I really liked the voicemail concept they did with Ben's last words at the end. That was touching.

Completely agree with both!

Yeah, nothing says emotional connection like voicemail.

Anybody who says this POS is better than SM1 or SM2 is too caught up in the hype and will rethink that position over time.

When that's all you have left of someone you've loved who's died it is very emotional.

I know from experience.

:rolleyes2 Says the guy decked out with a Batman avatar and sig.

My first thought when he re-listened to it was it being (somewhat) similar to Breaking Bad when

Jesse kept calling Jane's phone to listen to her outgoing message

I loved SM2, but the casting of Tobey and Dunst and some of the silly moments lower it in my eyes when compared to ASM and the pitch perfect casting of Andrew and Emma.

Interesting results.

i agree hat was my problems with the other films toby never felt like spiderman and durst was alright in the first one .

Loved Amazing. Even without a JJ, Garfield just way outpaces Tobey as Peter imo. :clap

As someone who bought their first ASM in 1964, Macguire was the embodiment of the Lee/Ditko/Romita Sr. depiction of Peter Parker/Spidey, IMO. Garfield seems more in tune with the Ultimates era, of which I'm happy to report I've never read an issue of.

I'll agree with you regarding Dunst.

The "I made you, but you made me first" bollocks of the new origin, plus the mishandling of Uncle Ben's killer felt like a slap in the face to a 48 year fan of Spider-Man as created by Stan and Steve.

But please kids, feel free to enjoy this tripe.

Re: Favorite Spider-Man movie (Don't vote till you've seen em all please)

So how do you feel Nolan has dealt with Bob Kane and Bill Fingers character? As an ASM comic reader and fan this was superior to the original release yet I still love the first two movies.

This movie is far from tripe and I find it hard to take you serious as you sound like a Nolan fanboy.

Interesting i too have read the stan lee and ditko era from ams#1 to ams #38 loved them .also read the first 60 issues of usm there are all right .
the movies combines both universe's this PP doesn't look like the ditko era its more modern so you rather have a spiderman who shoots web of out his wrists cause spidey from the 60's had web-shooters .

Also his killer was caught and thrown in prison in the comics he didnt fall from a window and die before you start complaining take a look at what was wrong with the old films .

It is kinda funny that some people can overlook changes to the story in one movie but not another. The web shooters was a hugely significant change.

i agree the day they took his webshooters away they took away the genius of PP.
