According to eBay, these changes are being made to help increase shopper confidence:
- Sellers will no longer be able to leave negative or neutral feedback about buyers
- Buyers will only receive positive feedback

Doesn't look like my feedback changed any. If it did, it certainly wasn't enough for me to notice.

Well, all sellers should just stop giving buyers any feedback then... why only give a positive? If I can't give a neutral or negative, then I shouldn't give a positive either! That would really screw up eBay's feedback system if all sellers just quit giving feedback to buyers.

This new system is completely asinine!!! I have an eBay account I only occasionally used back when I was still collecting non-sport trading cards. I haven't used it in over a year, so guess what my feedback rating is now??? You guessed it... 0%!!!! Granted, as soon as I use it and get one positive feedback, it will be back to 100%, but because I haven't used it in the last 12 months, it has 0% so I could be blocked from bidding on some auctions even though I actually have 100% feedback going all the way back! eBay is going to force people to other auction sites, whether they want to or not!!! :banghead :banghead :banghead

eBay appears to have quit counting neutrals in the Feedback, like it used to be! :clap :clap :clap

cool i didnt realize that. i guess it's a start....now to just get them to allow sellers to leave negatives again.

Yeah, since they changed that rule about negatives I've had a lot more issues w/non-paying bidders. Could be a coincidence... but pretty sure that if you remove the accountability people don't feel responsible for their purchases.
