I find it absolutely hysterical (though not entirely surprising) that certain people are now downplaying the opinion/word of one Michael Crawford.

:lol

Im going to guess thats aimed at me also. Sorry I guess this guy really is god. I am sorry I don't put to much weight into anyone reviews of anything. I have my opionion and guess what thats the one the counts. All reviews are just someone elses opinions. There is no right or wrong answer.

Make no mistake, I love SS products but they are not the only collectibles company in the sea. I voice my opinion BECAUSE I like their products enough to want to see them succeed in a competitive collectibles market.

I feel the same way, and while I may not agree with how some members post their thoughts - I think the underlying reasons are the same.

I was introduced to collectibles because of SS, the overwhelming majority of my collection is SS; and they are my underlying favorite company - by far. But with all the good comes the standard, and simply I know what I can/should expect from them. I honestly can say that if this same situation was put forth by any other company, I wouldn't be likely to bat an eye - but this is SS; and I expect greatness.

They are easily the best company I have purchased from, their staff are wonderful people, they do go so far out of their way for their customers. The 06 SDCC was a real eye-opening experience, and even made my feelings towards them all the more fond.

You know, that's what makes this whole Fett-"situation" feel like such an abberation.

Wow I think I know what it feels like to be Josh.

Sorry if you want to make comments about me I am going to respond. Plain and simple.

don't tell me it cost you $325 to customise it:rolleyes:
You know...? It's kind of funny...when I saw the final produciton photos I almost cancelled my order. But when I read in the blog that the body was made out of plastic I knew I could change the pose in addition to already knowing I would repaint him. This was very personal for me and I was probably the only one in the world that was very happy to hear about the plastic. The $325 was worth is for me to purchase the parts from SS and have a great time working on this. The end result is a sense of accomplishment that you just can't put a price on..oh...wait a minute...I guess we can...$325. Plus a really good feeling.:rotfl[/quote]

are you not worried about undermining what ssc are knocking out to their fan base.it doesn't look good an individual can improve on what takes them 1/2 year and still get wrong:google

You guys can post any of my photo's anywhere you want. To me this is a public showing and I don't own any rights, etc. I put the photo's of the fett up because (as probably the only one to take it apart on the 1st day) I thought people needed to see it wheather you like it or not.

Glad to see you weren't upset by that. :duff

Sorry I guess this guy really is god.
Here we go. Internet Debating 101. Let the hyperbole fly to set up a straw man argument.

"God"? Uh, no... But Michael's opinions on this stuff should and does carry more weight than just about anyone else's around here (my own obviously included)

As non PC as this statement is, I honestly believe that, yes, some peoples' opinions do count more than others'.

It's just a fact of life.

If there is such a thing as an "expert" when it comes to collectibles and reviews of such, Michael Crawford most certainly is one.

Well damm if someone would have said that earlier this all would have been avoided. I was unaware of this fact

Thank you for clearing this up.:lol

Not me. The guy knows his stuff and consistently gets it right in his reviews. Anyone who can't see that has blinders on IMHO.

Nobody is downplaying Mike. MFoga was just saying that his word isn't god as some made it want to come across as. I enjoy Mike's reviews and look forward to them.

Or can form their own opinion.

I really don't think I could have put it any better. Thanks for the very thoughtful post.

I you take what ever he says as the work of god great thats you but I for one prefer to make my own opionion. Ohh and that opinion is based on the item I have sitting in my room, instead of some pirctures, and others opinions.

EXCUSE ME? I had this opinion for some time now. Didn't you read my many posts about the subject? Crawford just confirmed what we all already knew.

And I did receive mine today. Giving Boba every chance to prove me wrong, he seemed cheezy, lightweight and certainly not up to Sideshow's PF standards. He did look good but he's being returned because he simply is not worth $325. But you go ahead and enjoy yours. To each his own.

What I am worried about is Sideshow sending a couple of Cave Trolls over to my house to beat the tar out of me!!!

Instead of wrangling Cave Trolls they should be putting together a job offer package for someone like you.

If Sideshow thinks his reviews rock, how can any of the SS Homers here disagree with that? I don't see any of our reviews featured on the SS website. Yes opinions are like *ssholes, everyone has one. But not everyone is an astronaut, movie star, or a collectibles reviewer.
