Rooney seems to be taking some undeserved flack imo. If England are to be successful, and by that I mean the quarter finals or further, Rooney will play a big part in that. He's a quality player and we need him to stand a realistic chance of doing anything in this WC.

At club level Rooney was a good, ( but nowhere near world class ) player until around 4 years ago when he first started acting like everything should revolve around him.

After a few years of increasingly average performances it seemed he might finally be leaving Old Trafford last summer but once the possibility of a new contract was mentioned he put in a shift for 2-3 months only to vanish again once the contract was secured.

He is a parasite.

Unfortunately for England he is also one of the best players they have and if nothing else he does possess the type of fighting spirit that winning teams have, a quality that's probably lacking in many of the other squad members.

On the Rooney front I think it will be another goalless tournament for him and if Aguero can get his shooting boots on then he could be a serious contender for the Golden Boot.

Italy in 82 deserved the world cup..great team they had...but the Brazil 82 team was legendary..what players they had..god only knows why they didn't win...god and Rossi

I think Brazil will win. Rakitic and Modric are quality players in the middle of the pitch, but I think Brazil are far stronger in other areas. And no Mandzukic is a big loss. Then again, Croatia have nothing to lose so you never know. With that said, I can't wait! So close to kick-off!
