Yeah, there was nothing wrong with it, he was entitled to go for that ball and it was his momentum as much as anything that caused the collision.
A lot of today's players need to man up.
It's supposed to be a sport where a level of physical contact is allowed although the likes of Higuain would probably sooner there wasn't.
If he thinks one collision with a goalie is bad then he'd better not try his luck with Aussie Rules as that's basically a fistfight on a cricket pitch with goalposts
Still celebrating Germany's win. What an amazing tournament for them. And to think Jurgen Klinsmann laid the foundation for this new German team in WC 2006. Maybe he can do the same for US.
The Italien reveree was a big letdown and argentinia didn´t deserve to end with 11 men... Schweinsteiger was badass, knockdown after knockdown and he still stood up! Incredible!!!
Kind of a bittersweet day for the Irish coverage of soccer as our treasured anchor Bill O' Herlihy retired with this World Cup. Really gonna miss him, thanks for the memories Bill, we'll leave it there so.
Yeah, that's what makes his last 2 performances disappointing.
This was a World Cup with great team play on behalf of most countries, where individual skills didn't shine much, that's why I think Messi's award is being too questioned, but after a bit of reading, I don't think anybody actually did more than Messi, individually speaking.
