Glad you enjoyed it Les! Can't wait till august 13th (french release)

So, did you bring your Joker figure with you?

Michael Keaton model kits with Les Walker's special touch!

Hey everyone. I got these two incredible Michael Keaton as Batman model kits from Les Walker this Wednesday. Check them out! Les put his special touch on the eyes, lips, and the belts on them. I especially love the Batman Returns kit with Keaton ready to kick some butt! Take a look at the pictures. The flash always bleaches out the skin tones some. So they really look even better in person! Thanks again Les SO much for adding your touch to these kits for me! You didn't have to do me that HUGE favor, but you did! You ROCK...as always my friend!

Les, I will PROUDLY display these kits once we move into the house later this year. I just had to show them off to everyone here! I'm leaving you a huge positive feedback for them on this board tonight.

I saw The Dark Knight today after work. GO SEE IT! It's one of the best comic book movies, or any type of movie for that matter in my opinion! You will not be disappointed!

He didn't. Basically Les didn't have anything good to put it in to show it off, but keeping people from touching and possibly breaking it. In the end, that was the best choice. His figure means too much emotionally to have it lost.

Re: Michael Keaton model kits with Les Walker's special touch!

He just got back from a date with Catwoman... :lol

:rock That is the best line I have read on this pose ever! :D

Thanks for posting those Mike. So glad you are happy with them. See folks, I do FINALLY deliver on sales and goods! Eventually! Even older stuff sold! :D
I did tweak the belt, emblem and head on that 89 Batman figure, but the Returns one is just as it is from when I first painted it way back in 1995 or so. OLD FML paintup! Still love the eyes on that one. One of my favorite paints. Glad you snagged it Mike.

Working like a Trojan after DK day. One long day of that was enough off for a while. Back to the brushes.
Ma goes into her new home Tuesday, so between now and then, lots of prep stuff with that, as well as paints, so look for stuff.

Hope to have my two figures I did for the new Challenge (done way back in April!) posted either tonight at midnight, or tomorrow sometime. Been up late too many days in a row to stay up too late tonight, what with the ma stuff, but if I don't get posted with those at midnight, look for them in the morning or so. They've been done forever, so what's one more day?
Hope to see you others there tomorrow for sure and comment on your's. Can't wait for that. Get in there and post! Responses are open to anyone, and submissions are too! :banana

Til then!

Glad to hear things are moving along smoothly with your Ma Les. Must be a real load off your mind knowing she'll be taken care of.

And as always, really looking forward to seeing your figures tonight/tomorrow :rock

I can't thank you enough Les! I requested that you get a huge +10 positive feedback on this board for the Batman kits. I will cherish them always. I'm happy to hear things are going better for you and your Mom. I hope her move into the home is a good one.

Now I just need to get a nice Dark Knight kit to put next to these two awesome kits from Les! Anyone see a good Dark Knight model kit out there online? I know the Hot Toys 1:6 TDK is awesome. I'd love to get him and the Ledger Joker someday. Let me know. Thanks again. :D

Thanks guys. And Mike.
Strangely enough, tonight both my parents have food poisoning! Get that!?!?!
I ate some different take out food from the two of them last night, (so far, so good for me) and then, this morning, my dad was sick, follow by Ma after we got back from some garage sales looking for her a vanity dresser to take with her. Now, both are bedridden and laid up. Please keep those prayers a comin! I am worried about ma being a diabetic and not having eaten all day hardly. She is still nauseated and sick. I am on the watch of course, tending to them.
Both are resting, so I will try to post my challenge figs soon, and keep a watch on them.

It is never dull here. I swear! Never!
Anyway....looking forward to tonight and tomorrow's entrys. My teaser is back up in my avatar.

Til I post! :rock

I'm really sorry to hear that your Folks aren't feeling well again. You guys are always in my prayers.

And your avatar, if it is what I think it is now, WOW! :drool

Couple of shots I couldn't use in the new Customs Challenge thread, as we were limited to seven, but these shots were kinda cool, though blurry, so here they are...go see the better ones (and all the other figures by other artists!) in the Challenge!

I always do custom bases for my 1939 series characters, so here is the rather detailed new Two-Face one... I actually spent a lot of time on this base...it's all scratched up and marred, more than my lousy shot shows...

Anyway, go see the stuff the guys have posted in the challenge! It's stickied and at page top. There's some COOL stuff in there! :rock

Seeing the close up on the shoes, my only critique is they are the same. One should be yellow with the black top. Other than that, I can't find a fault with it! And of course that is just a personal preference.

Yeah, I considered that....but they were done, and I was not gonna go back and change em out. But I agree. Coulda been switched. I just figured in 1939 he'd keep it simple....oh well....Good eye! :D

I did consider the original orange and purple he wore, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. Hated that color combo. Always have.

Man, sorry to hear about your folks man... food poisoning is no fun. Hope the fun of the challenge brings you some relief.

And, btw love the base, and my wife really likes it too/two :rock

Still looks great as is, but just with the whole semmetrical (yet not) stuff with Two-face, opposite shoes just seemed right. Mattel's Two-Face from their DCSH line didn't though. He just had two black shoes. That always has bothered me.

I'm not a big fan of his other colors besides the Black and White suit. I just love that outfit (I think my half done figure shows that). It also symbolically sums up Two-Face. The light and the dark, and in the middle the dark mixed with the light which represents the internal struggle for control.

Thanks GB. I need to log off and check on them actually. But thanks bro. Tell the wife, thanks too! :rock

I know. I also thought black and white. It is the best combo, and I did go easy with an already made. That is why you MUST finish your figure! Let's see him done soon!
But thanks for the support. I think mine is fine for my set. Plus, I knew that there wouldn't be anyone else with that much yellow, so TwoFace sort of got the job. Wait til you see them all together, my 1939 set, and it all works. Colorwise that is.
Appreciate the feedback. Now get back in there and finish that figure!
And hope more of you are gonna post some too! There's more time and lots more customizers here! Get to it gang!

I love the color choice Les, and that you didn't got totally opposite actually works for me. Everything being opposite gets to be a little much sometimes.

And they say yellow is the color of the insane (some study showed that the mentally ill prefer yellow over other colors) so I like that the scarred side is yellow. And you get a lot more visual pop/contrast between the two colors.
