Gretzky?! Is that you?
wow !. I thought that was real but then I realised... aliens aren't real .. and its a figure !.
Amazing work !.
don't worry, man i did the same thing. except i thought it was rosie o'donnell. who is real. i think.
but that dewback is just incredible!
ps. if les does come back wrestler style i want to see him shaking his paint desk like ultimate warrior. or ripping a lesmania t-shirt with his bare hands. make it so pjam! tell the man what his public wants!
Me too, bro. Looking fwd to getting some group pics of all my customed USCMs together.Me too Patrick. I'm hoping for my "spikey-haired" Hicks head sculpt to show up in my mailbox soon from Les.
We should group commission some Lesmaina t-shirts.ripping a lesmania t-shirt with his bare hands.
I was wondering who got that Dewback. I wanted it but didn't have the display room. At least now I know it's not too far away from me.
Has anyone started a thread with stuff they got from FML? Kinda like a display of his work? I think that would be a nice tribute to a great artist.
Quick mid-term update...
Version one, or Pencil Trick head for my Joker head versions, that I worked up between other works this weekend so I would have something to show for my own series of Jokers.
Two things to note, I am offering the added hair to all heads unless you specifically do not want it.
I am also working on variants on that, the texture and look of it for both the Party, and Interrogation versions, as this one is closest to the Pencil Trick makeup but might get more dirtied yet for other variations. This was my first test with the new hair.
This is also the first post movie paint of this head I have actually had time to do, (second paint on it since my original custom figure that has been pretty well documented around here thanks to MaulFan's awesome photos) I have the other variants coming within the next couple of days, so hang tight for those also.
This is the head shown displayed on my own Hot Toys Joker as is. No amendments made other than the head which is mounted on a type B adaptor and placed. Note the hunch look to him now. Much more pronounced even than my custom.
And some lower views on a shelf to see it in different lighting
The hair is a newer and much nicer and finer kind than I used on my original custom one, and I can do much more with it.
I will try some messier and dirtier looks with it for the interrogation head and maybe the Party one some also. Just seeing how you like it for now.
These pics haven't been bumped in a while. Amazing.
Thanks everyone.
Welcome to my anniversary 6000th post!
No, no Les figures made this week! I may do that soon though. The idea of little me holding Joker heads is too funny. Not as far on anything this week, due to ma issues and what nots, but I am slowly painting when I can.
She is not doing well, and I only just yesterday got to speak to her doctor, so a lot is going on daily with her. I will try to keep you guys informed if things get better in that area.
I will have something headpaint and figurewise to post soon. I just didn't get far enough on them for this post. But, thanks to MaulFan, I have something I can post just to celebrate this milestone for me, low as it is for some here, but for me, I wanted to do something special.
It just so happens that today is my second anniversary here. I have been a member here, at Sideshow Freaks, officially for two years now. (See first post date, and oddly enough, subject posted, a Joker!), so I had Maulfan cook me up a graphic to acknowledge the anniversary and show some of my headpaints in the last two years.
Best celebratory thing I could do under the circumstances.
So, here is my official 6000th post image, and a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you, those I have done work for, and am doing for now. And just know, there is much more to come!
And for fun and for those curious, a quick look at a test Interrogation Joker head, to see how the new hair and makeup might look....under Arkham Asylum lighting....
With flash
And again, thanks to all of you. You guys have kept me going these last couple of weeks. My turn to cheer you all up soon. Many heads and stuff to come!
Til next update...
