Square Enix made three different Barret PAKs. I doubt they would have bothered if he sells THAT badly.

square enix gouges for their figures, and always will, so even if he undersells, they can still make massive profits. I think they own their factories too, and if one figure undersells, they can just offset the cost elsewhere. It's a massive operation compared to GT's tentpole pop up operations where they still manage top quality stuff. If Square were producing these figures, Cloud would be 400$ base, and with the bike would be 1-1.2k$, SE hasn't charged fair prices since the early 00s, they know they can put collectors over a barrel for nearly everything.

Right? I have hope either Gametoys or VTS will take on Barret. And maybe VTS might do a better job on his headsculpt than they did with Cloud or Zack And just curious, why not pleather for Leon's jacket? GT already stated that with Sephiroth, they used a type of high quality fake leather that is resistant to peeling, so I'd imagine the same material would be a used. Besides, it wouldn't have the right shine to it if it were cotton/polyester.

no matter what they say, pleather is just crap. I'm not a fan of it, because eventually it rots, and it's way quicker to rot than cloth goods. and cloth goods, even if you handle it often, doesn't really break down quite as fast. If they could somehow use real leather I'd be for it, but pleather isn't strong, it's got a halflife, and even premium fashion good made of the crap peel after a few years of use even if it's thick.

Saw VTS mentioned there and remembered they're doing their own AC Cloud. Kind of feel bad for them since GT's offering completely overshadowed it, but the difference in quality of the prototypes is clear as day, even discounting the Fenrir. The base is cool though, I'll give them that.

This is why manufacturer competition is good for us, having said that I doubt they can beat GT's AC Cloud in terms of quality and accuracy.

For sure, definitely wouldn't want to see them be discouraged. In an ideal world, they'd be inspired to do some characters they know GT won't bother with; mentioned it a few times now, but a Kadaj and maybe even Yazoo and Loz would definitely attract my interest.

They should just stick to dioramas and props or side characters! Work with GT, not against them lol.

Honestly, this.

GT has shown their quality and the market is diving on their figures. Most people have forgotten or cancelled their VTS order when that GT version went up. The best thing they could do is start going after the characters that GT won't likely do. Work on a Kadaj, any of the Turks, president of Shinra, maybe Cid, etc.

Just looking at cloud on eBay there's only 1 available and it's with the bike for $1.5k..no way Im paying that much

I wish VTS Toys would just sell their accessories & dioramas on their own. Yet again reminiscing on how nice these are (or at least, the prototypes) & just wanted to share. Props to anyone who bought both VTS & GT and displayed their VTS stuffs with their GT figures. I can't imagine parting out the VTS figure would be too difficult & you'd make some money back, but I'm too sunk in pre-orders right now to even think about that...

It is pretty cool. I actually bought a VTS AC Cloud just for the base and will sell the figure on it's own like you mentioned.

She looks great! Soft features, perfect colors, beautiful eyes, and the hair sculpt is amazing. I'm very curious to know what kind of accessories will come with Aerith!! Let's see... her staff, a basket of flowers... that's all I can think of. I thought maybe extra outfit or something but I think Walter mentioned before Tifa wouldn't come with any extra outfits bc how difficult she is to change, so I'm not sure if Aerith would be the same thing.
