The head sits really low on the neck because of that plug being glued so far inside the head. Youll need to remove the plug regardless if you're going to buffer the gap with tissue paper or just replace or extend the neck connector.
I pulled out the plug in the head on mine, it was glued in there pretty good. The plug is soft plastic and unfortunately tore a little when separating from the glue they used. I was initially going to reglue it back but decided to not. The plug fits kind of loose in the head, so a wrapped some electrical tape around it. Sits pretty decent now.

What tools or methods did you use to pull out the connector?

w/c Jessie did you get? Is it the standard one? i've seen the one that comes with a bike and cloud has a better faceplate. As in the eyebrows are thinner and the likes.
I have the version with Cloud and the bike.
Faces looks okay. The eyes are looking kinda flat? Like missing somethin to look great, to shiny? . Got them from Japan directly.

Needle nose pliers and some controlled force, was going to soak in hot water first but opted not to. The other heads plug placement on mine seems fine, only this head needed removal of the plug. The glue was mostly placed on the back of the plug and a dab on the top. Who knows how itll be on others?

how did you tear it out? Also looks like everybody's zack has that weird issue with it not sitting on the torso.

I don't understand how this neck problem could pass the quality control, while GT has postponed the release of this Zack to improve it, incomprehensible
I receive mine on Monday, I'll see

Its definitely a production flaw, but its relatively easy to fix and certainly looks a lot better. Who knows, some might not have the plug placed so deep in the head. Mine was and Zack looked like he was shrugging, so I fixed it. Alternatively you can just replace the neck connector or extend the current one and avoid pulling out the plug in the head. Just needs to be longer to make up the distance.

well, this is confirmed qc problem. boss admitted it.
gt is not perfect, just collector set their qc expectation higher when it is gt.

boss release and offer after sales services for those who not willing to setter the problem themself. this is gt side problem, customer have every right to demand effortless solution. but personally i think it is quite easy to fix the problem. clay on balljoint,10second used.regarding the neck height defects. some collector think it is ok,some might find it weird. mine one,i think the figure is just perfect that way.

imagine you are the qc controller, taking just basic salary, when your supervisor ask:it the figure qc ok?you:ok,no problem*in the heart, whatever~its not like you can deduct my salary if problem found later*. when qc supervisor discover the defects,he/she will :fxxx, defected, but since factory manager aldy said need to deliver asap,i just be silent. if not, delivery sure will delayed.

and product sended out, customer complaint. boss complaint factory manager:why this problem occur?why you guys cant detect it earlier?
fm:sorry,no next time.

always remember, boss always wish there are no complaint for the product. at least gt not denial about the defect and do nothing. its a figure that involve man manual operation. not like gunpla. but if got defect on the headsculpt painting etc etc, sure i will complaint too and demand aftersales services.

here some picture. cheer

Fully understandable. I know how it is to work in quality control. Little things can cause trouble. But I think the problem with the neck is manageable.

So good to see something from you! Clearly AC Cloud and a bunch of.. Tifa? heads? kinda scary lol

I believe Jessie will be only produced by SE. Okay.. I didnt know about GT before.. but she is more a minor character.
To get here in the pose you want is kinda okayish. Took still some time to do one of the promo pics shown of her and Cloud. But Im still not satisfied with it
