Yeah, its "obnoxious whining" when people here point out the flaws the GT pre order prototype literally has.
No one said that anyone has to agree or that people buying this are stupid or whatever. Its still just people pointing out the flaws.
But its totally okay to mock these people just because "yeah but i dont care if its accurate". "lol these nerds"
Thats a way better discussion level, right? Great attitude. Thumbs up.
If you want an actual, good faith argument to your suggestion that the flaws you see are "literally" there, I completely disagree with the claim. The changes you made didn't increase the likeness, they reduced it.
Square Enix has a very idealized approach to character design, and in the classic Loomis idealized face guidelines, the outer corners of the mouth directly align with the inner edges of the irises. You'll find this is quite true of almost every character model Square Enix has made in the last decade, and it is absolutely true of Tifa's in-game model. Your edit, by contrast, squishing in the lips without, in turn, reducing the gap between the eyes, breaks this. I'm not sure what it is about the GT sculpt that makes you think the lips are too wide, but I don't see it myself. Her upper lip is also much thinner than you seem to remember. The overall impression your edit gives is that's she doing the duckface pout.
Your take on her eyebrows, as well, completely ignores the corner of the eyebrow that's formed based on the anatomy of the underlying skull; the peak and bend at the tail is the eyebrow wrapping around the head, transitioning from the front of the skull to the side of it. This natural peak is extremely evident on Tifa's in-game model, and you've completely erased it to draw a straight line that doesn't conform to the actual shape of the head, because you've interpreted this natural foundational bend as an "angry" expression, when it's simply her resting browline.
FWIW, it's almost a guarantee they ripped the model directly from the game and all these differences you're seeing is purely because the paintjob isn't an exact perfect match for in-game textures, and also a plastic copy of the head can never have the game's subsurface scattering.
