Such an unnecessary release. Unless Square manages to shut them down, GT will 100% do another version of this character. Pick another character.

I want to be patient cause I know gametoys mentioned a sephiroth 2.0, but they've also teased aerith, shinra grunt cloud, damaged zack, AC tifa, vincent, rufus, 2B... I wonder what a reasonable expectation is at this point. Do you guys think a 2025 pre-order and 2026 release is realistic?

If we're talking 2027 or later I may pull the trigger on this one.

I want to be patient cause I know gametoys mentioned a sephiroth 2.0, but they've also teased aerith, shinra grunt cloud, damaged zack, AC tifa, vincent, rufus, 2B... I wonder what a reasonable expectation is at this point. Do you guys think a 2025 pre-order and 2026 release is realistic?

If we're talking 2027 or later I may pull the trigger on this one.

God knows. Tifa is likely still another 6 months + away and then there’s Noctis to release. I’d pull the trigger depending on price

...yeah that's kinda what I figured. I imagine they will finish up noctis and tifa during the first half of 2025, then maybe have aerith orders up by the second half, and maybe sephi orders start in 2026 and releases 2027, but that's probably the fastest scenario.

I would heavily bet on Sephiroth AC being the next one that goes up since he pairs with the AC Cloud. 2026 is very much realistic, imho.

The last wave of AC Cloud+Fenrir didn't ship until February of this year, and they immediately followed him up with three more releases (the two Death Note boys and then two waves of the First Class body). I keep saying it, but GT are really not that slow. The details on what went down with Square are extremely fuzzy, the only thing we really know is it was enough to scare SWToys off from releasing their Tifa, but that is a pretty big mitigating factor in Tifa missing her original release date of this year.

I suppose the biggest gamble is that they could choose to do Aerith first. But also this new figure is the Remake version, when the next GT one will be the AC version, and it's very unlikely we'll see a remake 2.0 of from GT. So this is probably your best shot at getting this specific costume.

The blob on the left is clearly Cloud. I would bet this is just the GT First Class body and they're just using it for the photo lol. The pauldron is on the right shoulder here and is looks like the undamaged First Class version to me. Unless you're suggesting the blob on the right is supposed to be a person.

Also the more I look at this Sephiroth the more the face feels like a genderswapped female version to me lol.

I am on the same boat.

I would 100% get a gametoys AC Seph, but who knows if/when that will see the light of day.

I am curious about the price of this one. I think the headsculpt is ok, but weirdly tiny, and I feel it’s a loss not to have the wing.

But if the price is fair, I may get this
