I'm not sure you understand what Toys Wonderland is doing. For Hot Toys, they go into retail stores and buy figures. But for everything else they have accounts, so they are able to secure orders just like other stores.

Not recently, they haven't.

They failed to secure orders for GameToys Cloud and Present Toys Indiana Jones.

It sounds like they've definitely burned the bridge with GameToys. I doubt they have a single Zack or AC Cloud secured.

Gametoys don't have their order

Two major distributors don't have their order

I don't know if they order it through other local stores but then their set price is below the wholesale cost

That information was based on my conversation with gametoys distributor, they tried to place order without deposit and of coz the order was rejected

I can tell you that gametoys notice that, most suppliers I know they all know the said store has serious finance problem. The said store were taking preorder for the new Cloud yet they try to place order (Huge volume) without a deposit, of coz that was being rejected.

The said store tried to contact all 1/6 stores here for cooperation, they can't place order directly with brands without a deposit, so they try to tell people that they are reputable biggest store in Hong Kong, convince other stores to place order for them. I knew 2 stores already a victim stuck with million worth products that they dropped out

I'm still in the time frame lol, but I have no reason to dispute it other than rumors/facts stated about them, to which I agree wholeheartedly, but I'm weary to proceed with a refund with no pretense...
I think I'll just have to hope they pull through, or eat the cost on this one. By that I mean enjoy your Zacks everyone lol

Call it FOMO, but I didn't want to let him pass by, especially after saying this a couple weeks ago:

Same!! I'd probably settle for any company making a 1/6 Barret, but if GT did it, that would just be perfect. Hope they consider it down the line.

If GT does eventually make him, I'd just sell the Shark Toys one. But if he's going to be the only Barret in 1/6 form, I can't let that pass. Regarding his size, It's hard to judge when he's not around any other figures, though his shoulders do appear kinda small. And I'm unable to find any info on the figure's height. I'm happy to add him to the FFVII display, I just hope he doesn't look awkwardly undersized lol

It looks like GT is only going to be putting out 3-4 figures a year, so even if they do make Barret, he's years away.

I'll most likely buy this one, but only as a base for customizing. He's gonna wind up way too short, I feel it in my bones.

gt only got one “ official ” distribution shop which is CM warehouse on taobao. 1st hand reseller required submit orders proof /quantity and collected deposit after preorder period inorder to secure their stock from gt. i guess tw maybe is 2nd or 3th hand reseller. which means reseller buying stock from reseller.

currently the price of zack increased from 1.7k rmb（both set）to 1.9k rmb（1st class set only） on online sell website. estimate 2.3k rmb + when stock release. its quite rare for price to increase before stock releasing. like hottoys mk85，preorder 2k plus rmb，when releasing，some droped until 1.6k rmb.

therefore I can foresee many 3th，4th hand reseller will release “statement” regarding gt cut stock and cancel preorder orders，and sell those stock with jacked up price. 1st hand reseller with good cash flow will surely put extra order，so some reseller buy those stock（which is adly increased price but not much）and sell it themself（profit price on profited price）.

Its a zero sum game. customer will have to paid much higher price if they dint preorder it or worst being cut stock by reseller.

gt did banned some 1st hand reseller that “cut” preorder stock and save it to resell with higher price. coz gt knew how many did they ordered. they will not get stock from gt side forever.

But as always，good quality product=higher demand.
And zack produced quantity is less than RE cloud, 2nd class set quantity less than 50% compare to 1st class version.

With 7 remake cc on going，the demand only will going to be higher.

To be fair to them... they typically have cheaper prices over time. I purchased Iron Patriot from sideshow for around 450? Then it ended up on TW for like 240 dollars shipped... so that was an easy choice to cancel lol. Not sure how they get them so cheap but it can work out

Because the local market collapsed, many local stores selling their over stocks at 50-70% off, almost all the end game marvel line collapsed

Yikes. Only time will tell if TW will fulfill their GT orders. I hope everyone here on this thread receives theirs. I don't think anyone actually wanted to order from TW, but left with no other choice due to late pre-order or sheer naivety to TW's nature (like myself... I PO back in Feb, I was unaware of TW's actions)

The people in the Toys Wonderland topic defending them was infuriating. I mentioned that you spelled out the situation very clearly and someone said not to listen to your posts because your opinion is bias since you're part of their competition. Definitely feels like some serious shilling going on.

Like, I get it, for some people they've never had an issue with them, great. Especially ordering something like a Hot Toys figure. But for other people, their business practices are straight up shady, inconsistent, and unreliable. Having a huge Youtuber partner with them and say how great they are all the time is frustrating, because if you aren't informed about the situation and are trying to get a 3rd party figure... Boom, you get ****** when they can't get their stock in.

It's like the old Seinfeld rental car scene. What's the point of pre-ordering with them if it's not guaranteeing you're going to get the item?

Plus as I've said in the past, I personally think they take pre-orders to fulfill other financial obligations and business costs in a ponzi scheme type system. Which is why they often don't have the funds to secure a deposit for some of their figures.

For those with Zack on pre-order with TW. Keep a very diligent eye and be prepared to abandon ship and see if someone like Kit can source you one locally, because we may get a replay of Cloud if the market demand is high enough.

I've been following news of zadehkicks and this person use to take massive pre-orders for a lot of hyped shoes for well under their MSRP price

turns out it was a ponzi scheme the entire time and the new money coming in was to help fulfill the older orders, and once the new money stopped coming in they had to file for bankruptcy

TWL has been doing something similar with their deals back in December 2021/January 2022, they had ridiculously low priced mark 85 and now people have just started receiving their orders the past month
