Anyone here have any experience with Super Duck? Their Yuffie set is due to ‘release’ Q4. I assume not a chance? lol

Based on my experience buying Super Duck heads and outfit sets through the years, never believe their estimated release dates! I'm waiting for their "Horror Girl" (aka the Tomie character by Junji Ito) and it was supposed to have been released back in June of 2023 at the latest. It's gonna be 2025 soon and still no sign of it.

I never pay pre-order deposit for Super Duck stuff. I only pay when it's actually in stock.

I attempt, as best as I can, to track Super Duck releases specifically to see if I can get a window on that Yuffie, because it seems she's not popular enough for anybody else to make. Yuffie is set number 83. Set 82, FFXV Cindy, released last March, so I kept hoping that meant Yuffie was next, but they skipped over her (and several others, including that Junji Ito Horror Girl (set 085)) to release their RE4 Ada, set 87, last month. Set 80, Cruella, released May 2023. Set 81, Melina from Elden Ring, released December 2023. Set 82, Cindy, released March 2024, and then Ada (87) dropped last month. So it takes several months between releases, so maybe, maybe, Yuffie will drop around February, if they don't skip over her again.

The body already looks pretty inaccurate.... don't have much faith in the face reveal. Their previous Tifa looked pretty rough.

They all seem to come up short except for the CS Tifa. FA Studio had a good proto, but it's shipping now and the face came out pretty downgraded. The eye area just looks derpy.

Is that licensed? If not then they must feel confident SE have went back into their burrow

nah, if you see anything FF related but with a third party logo on it, its not licensed.
i'm pretty sure licensed 1/3 or 1/4 or 1/6 FF statues by a third company are not a thing at all.
in terms of statues theres only the static arts and adorable arts stuff and thats it. made by SE.

there is no Prime or Hot Toys Cloud or anything like that. and if you see like a company name that you never heard before,
a company with no website, a company with a weird mix of dozens of IPs or with female characters that have a body proportions boost ...
its 100% not licensed.

Which begs the question have SE chilled with the likes of ACG/Gametoys/Toys Era etc who are doing unlicensed stuff.

I doubt they SE will ever chill on stuff like this, they just need the time to find and hunt us down 😅

There's no chill, there's only peak and non-peak periods.

There's only so much they can police the unlicensed scene until they have to back off, because it went from 'whack a mole' to 'catch me if you can' when these companies starts doing this:
