Well there may or may not be some official 1/4 scale products revealed later this year... so this could pair together. That said this barret looks like a cg render. Looks like the studio has a vincent that previously released, I would look into that to see if you like the quality before ordering.

Correct. They had a poll back in August asking if they should go back to pre-orders based on 3D render sculpts.

Initially, Barret was going to be based on the physical prototype but the poll won in favor of pre-order based on the render.

Right now, they are currently working on Yuffie and Cloud vs Sephiroth. They have already teased Tifa and Aerith.

The reveal is expected to drop next month, but the schedule could get pushed back.

Also note that prime 1's products with square are sold on the square online store, where they do not accept payment plans so you might wanna plan ahead financially if you are looking out for statues.

They had the physical proto of Yuffie completely redone because she was slightly out of scale with Cloud, that's dedication for ya. Tifa and Aeris are coming from them over the next few years too which is exciting. I have both Sephiroth and Yuffie coming from them so I'll be sure to post photos.

Also, long time no post, so hello everyone - since the GT 1st Class body reissue is coming soon(ish), thought I'd ask if there's anyone out there doing kits converting it from the 1st Class outfit to Cloud's regular gear? I know that's only really replacing a pauldron and a leather strap, but I'm useless at kitbashing.

I have Fanart statues of Tifa and Cloud in 1/3 scale, and Aerith is on preorder. I love the size and presence they bring to my collection, but it is abit challenging to find other statues in this scale since most are 1/4, so matching pieces is a bit tougher.

I know that's only really replacing a pauldron and a leather strap, but I'm useless at kitbashing.

The 1st Class body is a much more accurate color to Cloud's normal outfit than the brighter, more purple shade the original figure had, so my ideal figure would use the suit from the 1st Class figure with all the accoutrements from the normal figure, so I'll probably try to do that when I get mine in hand. Depends largely on how easy it is to remove the pauldron/harness, it feels like a pretty big hassle tbh. But when I do I could look into the possibility of making a 3D printable remake Pauldron people can have, but there'd still be the problem of the different gloves. Making a set of those for people would be a lot more work I wouldn't be willing to commit to for how niche it would be (I don't think anybody used the boots I made for the VTS Cloud lol, at least nobody told me they did), and since ACG was still talking about making a Cloud, I'm wary to spend too much time and effort on something like this when a better option could be on the way.

For the 1st Class Body:

1) Remove arms.

2) Detach the strap below the harness. It is glued on, you can carefully pry it off with a thin object wedged between or you can cut it off, but I prefer to keep it intact incase I need to reattach in future.

3) Pull the shirt off.

4) Pull the rubber chest cover off, it will be tight,. but it will eventually slide off. You can heat it up lightly with a hair dryer to make it more flexible if needed.

5) Find a thin/small screw driver and remove the 3 screws art the back.

6) Detach body and pull off harness

For the OG Remake Body:

1) Same as above.

2) Same as above.

3) Same as above.

4) Body is on a ball joint so you can just forcefully pull it off.

5) Pull of harness

Rest is easy, you just swap everything round.

I feel this modification makes the GT002 much more accurate to how Cloud looks in Remake & Rebirth.

The colour of the uniform is much darker than the previous blue. It has better articulation and then the upgraded headsculpt over the original release.

If GameToys were to re-release the OG Cloud, this would be it.

Only thing I couldn’t change is the ‘Fenrir Earring’, but it’s minor.
