Odd choice indeed for a second “Shin” figure.
I’d buy immediately a King Noctis, or Ardyn Izunia to complete the line.
FFXV is not even that popular (although successful commercially). Would have been better to get a Clive PAS, to promote FFXVI further…

The thread for the new A-FX Sephiroth on BBICN is almost completely just people complaining about their GT Sephiroth's jacket already falling to pieces. It must suck living in a warm, humid area.

Yeah but the new FX one isn't using any real leather is it? Seems like it'll just have the same problem.

The product specs does list the coat as "leather" but should we assume leather is pleather unless specified as "real leather"?
i already took out the pleather parts on my sephiroth just to get it over with, i wanted to fix it but Tbh its not that bad i could live with it,minus those zipper decals.
As for the play arts shin noctis, easy pass the first one isnt even that bad to ask for a 2.0 plus sqex price these days ill never buy a bnew play arts again.

i mean, the old noctis was pretty awful. only the 2018 release had a good face & that one's super hard to find now. they could've just reissued again, sure, but updating him is fine. not really a bad thing
++ 20k jpy when figmas/mafex are upward of 11k these days really ain't bad for a 1/7ish figure
Idk im fine with it for how much i paid for back then, id rather see new characters or characters that really deserves a upgrade like zidane,auron etc.
Thats fine if u feel that way i just dont think the size of a fig determines everything. I go for quality like ill be honest the old mgs play arts kai still blows the recent play arts figures at least in my opinion

i'll agree w/ zidane, i really wanted a PAK of his dissidia design back when that line was alive but alas.. i think modern PAK are pretty great paint-wise, if shin has a better joint set like they advertised i think updates are pretty nice. i was going to grab noctis eventually but i'm happier w/ this shin. definitely hope we get new characters eventually tho !

My GT Cloud 1st Class Soldier arrived, and boii it’s tall. I think Gametoys are idolizing those Bleach proportion. Now I know why GT Ichigo is that tall after rereading Bleach. Midway through, Tite Kubo drew them with exaggerated proportions. With the legs super loooong. The characters height are like 13 human heads proportion. So they just reused that lower legs for all of their figures. But I’m a sucker for an accurate scale so I used another body for Cloud. I don’t have the head yet, but I measured it would be 29.5cm roughly. Cloud is listed as 173cm. Considering his boots added the height, say 3cm. So it’s 176cm, divided by 6 it’s 29.33cm. It’s pretty close
Can anyone guess what body and outfit I used? The body may be unexpected but I think it works well.

Is it the 3Zero TWD Carl Grimes Body? Or 3Zero GoT Bran, I think they used the same body. The Lannister boy too.
And the Super Duck clothing set?

Are you suggesting the GT Cloud's legs are this long because it's just using the Bleach body? Remake's body proportions are super stylized, too, and Cloud's legs really are this long. I do think GT's harness sits a smidge higher than it's supposed to, which does make the legs appear visually even longer, though. But making these characters in "accurate scale" is a problem when they're so anime proportioned. GT's headsculpt is actually on the small side, but it has to be to fit proportionally on his body. As you can see in this comparison, GT's hands are pretty small, too, for the same reason. (I'm not sure which hands you're using on this other body, the VTS one?)
